PS: Yesterday, my doc told us that my cancer returned (2nd recurrence) and I will be put on chemotherapy for the rest of my (short) life.

If I calculated that the amount of my total estate left after income and estate taxes would be 25 million or more, I'd leave about:

16 million to a total of 18 relatives (stepchildren, step-grandchildren, siblings, neices, nephews, in varying amounts)

2 million to my special friend

any amounts over 18 million to various charities

If the total was less than 25 million, I'd still leave a little to charity, but not as high a percentage.

Well, from what I understand they only freeze you from the neck up. So if you die and decide to use cryogenics you might be right. When you wake up in 100 years you will definitely be a head.... [ More ]

My wife of course first, (by law she would be entitled to it anyway) then parents so they could at least enjoy life after retirement, a few close friends and relatives...(small percentage to charity and church

Depends on the size of the jackpot. My sisters, nieces and their children would be on my list if there was enough to go around. But I'd also like to leave money to a couple of charities.
