I didn't meant to reply just to you, but since the OP mentioned winning the lottery and then Pick 3 and Pick 4 came up I just wanted to add that not everyone considers hitting them winning the lottery.

A few years ago in Ohio a guy bought a motor cycle and it was in a packing grate. He played the numbers on it in the pick-4 and won $400 for the box bet. In the next draw he bet the entire $400 on the same number straight and won $2,000,000. I'm not sure if the word luck even applies when the same digits are are drawn 2 drawings in a row and the way he bet it.

When you think about it, even winning $40 in the pick-3 could be a huge win when the winnings are parlayed. MM and PB are strange game... [ More ]

Thank justxploring! I knew I didn't say anything about Pick 3 and Pick 4 being a huge win. I have no idea where Coin Toss came up with that.

Coin Toss, I don't see where Scary was saying that pick-3 or pick-4 would be a huge lottery win - just that the luck factor applies much more to games with higher odds.

Anyway, one reason I am against publishing a press release about wins less than a million is

hit a Pick 3 and call up a family member, close friend, or go into work and say you won the lottery . See what happens.

When there is a Raffle or someone wins Gas For A Year, all people see in the paper or hear on TV is Susan Joh... [ More ]

I know he said winning the lottery . I brought up Pick3/4 in the beginning of my comment then I discussed PB and MM. I said that Luck has a lot to do with winning a big jackpot. I have no idea why you are talking to me as if I said winning Pick 3 was like being winning a big jackpot. I made no such claims in my post.

In the opening post of this thread DownandDirty said winning the lottery . Hitting pick 3s and 4s are nice, but winning the lottery means making a huge score, a jackpot, somewhere between $2 and $360 million (or whatever the highest jackpot yet has been.

When one wins the lottery they are set for life (as long as they don't blow it), it's a life-changing event. I can't see hitting up Pick 3 and Pick 4 payoffs in the same category as winning the lottery .

Imo, with Pick 3 and Pick 4, using methods can be very successful. However, with games like Powerball and Megamillions and some other Pick 6/Pick 5 games, I really believe that Luck is a big factor. The odds are just too high to have any one method be successful in getting wins.

Of course luck exists. People get lucky every day. Most Lottery winners are just lucky. I merely suggest that unless you don't want to wait until you find a bag of money buried in your backyard ....that there are better ways to speed up the process.

I am sure there are a number of LP members who won through, primarily hard work.

That's right. You hav'nt met many of the folks who are winning consistently.

Don't let them tell you winning the lottery is all about waiting for your lucky day. There are folks winning all the time......and luck has very little to do with it (OK maybe a sprinkle).

I dedicate every win I ever have.....and encourage those who work hard to develop methods to create they're own luck. I feel that alot of folks who throw this dirty word around only do it because they just can't figure it out. Stick hopeless randomness where the sun dosent shine. There is a way. Fin... [ More ]
