I live on the Oregon/Washington border. I play Oregon Megabucks and Powerball in Oregon ... and Washington Lotto and Megamillions in Washington. But, I never play any lotto game unless the advertised jackpot is at least $4 million. Anything less, after taking the cash-option cut and after taxes (mandatory withholding taxes plus prepayment of REAL taxes), and it just wouldn't seem worth it.

I rarely if ever buy scratch tickets. And, I never buy Daily this-or-that tickets or specialty tickets.... [ More ]

I play all the lotto's available to me in my state. theyre all nation wide now. i picked powerball, but after reading cointoss, my fave game i chase is a smaller 6/38 game. so in fact i like the 6/38

$6/week: $1 P3 / $1 HotLotto / $1 PB... 3 Bucks WED / 3 Bucks SAT

Went a long time w/ Quicks, in and out of the Quik-Stops - never hit a thing. Found LP and picked-up the learning curve on various system trials: LotWin; ExpertLotto; Vtracs; and BobP's book Win Your Lottery... and, reading LP threads/posts.... Counting the two or so years prior to LP, not breaking even yet but beginnng to hit a few, now and then.

I play Mega Millions. For this year, I am playing the birthdays of family members (our wedding date for the megaball). I limit my lottery spending to $2/week. Last August 15- three of my numbers were drawn.... I won $15....

I think the players are their own worst enemy- not the players here at LP, but for everyone here there are probably hundreds or thousands who play and are totally clueless.

Because of that, the lottos expand matrixes - and expand and expand them, and the betting public just sends a mesage of more, more, give us more!

Just look at what's going to happen to Powerball when Florida joins.

I would love to say a Pick 5 game, but since I don't have it here, I can't play it. Right now, my game of choice is Hot Lotto and Powerball (every now and then). However, as soon as the matrix changes I probably won't even bother playing Powerball anymore.

I choose pick3 because it's nice to know at any given time in the very near future, I'm gonna have some extra spending money.A P3 hit coming is more reliable than if I were waiting for a social security check coming on time

I can't play PB, no problem. I prefer Mega Millions also, due to it's payout. Even a smal advertised jackpot can yield enough to buy quite a few candy bars. I agree totally. mega millions is my GAME

My favorite is Mega Millions. I play both Powerball and Mega Millions, but MM has a better payout compared to their advertised annuity jackpot. So if I have to choose, I choose the the largest jackpot at the time. But if both are the same, I choose MM even though I can not remain anonymous according to their rules.

Correct me, anyone, if I am wrong.
