Yeah it seems to be good I've been on for near 4 hrs. and not a single wait and I'm using my W2K partition w/IE6.

Thanks all for the nice comments.

I am very happy to say that the site is working quite well again. There were a few problems on Friday evening, but that was caused by a bumbling move on my part, rather than the site being at fault. After that, things have been moving along very quickly, just as they should.

I even did a few extra updates, to see if the site would go through any of the dreaded delays, but instead of a delay, the site did not have even a moment's delay, which is exactly t... [ More ]

Another web gremlin had slipped into the site for the past several weeks, and has been tremendously difficult to find and fix.

I'm sure many of you have noticed that the site goes unresponsive for a few minutes once or twice a day. (In fact, it just happened again at around 6:00 or so this evening.)

It turns out that one of the reasons it was so difficult to track down was that it was really more than one problem, and the combination of problems caused it.
