What do you mean by supposed to ? I am not familiar with this term as applied to lotto.

What I do is track whether or not a cold number was drawn. I gather several draws, about 25. Then I detemine how many times a cold number was drawn versus when a cold number was not drawn.

I think of a cold number as being just one of several patterns. Having a pattern that hits 50% of the time is useless to me. That is like flipping a coin and we all know how that turns out; we are wrong 50% of the tim... [ More ]

hi, im here in florida also, and according to ur trackings, cold numbers hit alot. reading ur chart, i see that (for example) on 10/24, the numbers 1, 2, 19, 24, and 31 were all listed as cold on 10/23. so doesnt that mean that the cold numbers hit when they were supposed to

If I thought there was pattern over 10 drawings

and I only had a 100 draw history, I would use a

moving average backtest. 91 data points.

Good question that requires a definitive answer.

Some people here include all the drawings, going back to day one. Others use the last 10, 40, 80, or 100 drawings.

My personal opinion is to use the last 80 drawings in a 5/39 game. There are cycles within the lottory. Using all the drawings ignores those cycles, calling into play the Theory of Large Numbers.

Very good thread. I follow the Fla Fantasy also, and used the standard filters, Sums, Adjacent,O/E, Lastd Digit Sum. This is what I show for Fla using last 10 draws. As you can see there aren't too many cold number hits. I use 0 as cold, 1-2 average, 3+ hot.

I found Diamondpalace's defintion of cold number a whole lot better than what I was using. That is why I jumped into this thread.

I think I need to change most of my patterns. I am hoping this thread provides the insight needed to find the right definition for the right pattern.

I never even had a thought about base numbers. I am glad the idea was re-posted.

So join in time*treat and give us what you can. We need new patterns with newer defintions.

The performance ratio can be shifted by changing (among other things) how 'cold' and 'base' numbers are defined.

80 to 700~2,500 is quite a range. Did you get many 3/5 4/5 matches along with your 5/5

The best I can do is provide some insight.

Right now we have three patterns. That is not enough. We will need about 12 such patterns.

Even with 12 patterns I have found that the winning binary to decimal number has anywhere from 80 to 700 possibilities. Once there was 2500 possibilities.

The problem lies in the patterns. Most that I have found result in a fifty-fifty ratio of zeros to ones. What would be ideal is a pattern that results in a 70-30 ratio. Either 70% zeros or 70% ones. I... [ More ]

I think I see your confusion. Allow me to elucidate.

By tracking four (or more) patterns with either zero or one and then converting those two digits from left to right into decimal, we get a number. Something like the following

Cold Base Odd/Even Decimal

0 1 1 = 3

1 1 1 = 6

1 0 1 = 4

and so on. Having gathered lots of these binary/decimal numbers we can get a feel for what will come next or what will not come next.

That's an interesting idea. With the sum being odd or even, represented by 0 and 1 how will be know how many selections goes into getting the odd or even sum? Are there a tool allowing us to see the amount of numbers adds up to 20 vs 40 sum

Hi guys,

I am kind of doing a similar workout with the Fantasy 5 here in FL. Last night, I got 3 out of 5 but I should have got 4 out of 5 as I had 4 numbers selected but the wheel I used didnt allow for that 4th number! I won $10.50 for my 3 #'s instead of $129 for 4 digits. I used Gail Howard's Interactive 52225 Pick 5 wheel. I should have used the 3003 Pick 5 wheel.

Have you guys tried wheeling your cold numbers with the hottest numbers ? That's what I did and had 4 numbers chosen cor... [ More ]

That's ok. This method works for GA really well. 70% of the time.

I usually get free tickets from it, and 3 numbers, but have not gotten a 4 or even a jackpot hit yet. The base numbers are the ones I need to work on now.

1 out of 460,605 is not much of a reduction from the original of 575,757.

To reduce the odds even more I select the 15 base numbers, non-cold to group it with the cold.

I'm a little behind on this one but, Monday for tn. Lotto 5, I wrote 1 thru 39

Put a line thru the one's that had hit in the last 10 draws, ( or multiple lines for those that hit more than once).

I ended up with about 12 or 13 that had not hit,

3 of them hit, and one of the hot numbers (18 I think) had about 3 or 4 lines thru it. It hit.

Yours doesn't draw everyday like a Fantasy 5 or whatever. but it's a start.

When the time arrives ( should the time ever arise ) I can send you Excel spreadsheets containing VBA programs which will tell you just how many combinations contain one or more cold numbers, or how many contain both cold numbers and base numbers, or some other combination of cold and base numbers.

This finding of at least 1 or 2 cold fusion into the base numbers (non-cold) are common in Georgia Fantasy 5 game. 80% of the time 1 cold number will be in the next drawing, 10% of 2 cold numbers, and 10% of none. The ways to find the next 4 base numbers are up to the player's methods, the cold fusion method gives the player 1 gurantee number 80% of the time.

No problem.I've read many posts here for JP games and even with all the amassed knowledge, I think there's something simple we're all overlooking.I just don't know what,but those numbers are a starting point.I'd be willing to bet the percentage of those numbers is even higher in other states.I know nothing about creating a program let alone for stuff like this.I just hope if someone gets really bored they can figure how to infuse this is all.Thanks

In looking over the last 100 draws in Tennessee's version of the P5 game, I found that 57% of the time there was at least one Base Number within the draw. That seems like a good pattern to incorporate into whatever comes.

Call emcrazy but I posted something called base numbers and I had one response basically shaking the theory off...My premis was that for 5/30 5/35 5/39 there are steady base numbers and it can't be denied....1-3-7-10-11-17-21-23..Under observation over the years,I've noticed that 1 or more from this set of numbers will be in nearly every drawing...there has to be a way to infuse 1 or more of this set into gameplay with someones idea around here.This set is so common,I don't think(and I could be... From here, I use the cold numbers fused it with the rest of the numbers. I only use the other number once, of course this is done randomly. If there are 8 or more cold numbers that's automatically 8 slots, cost $8. With 8 slots allow me to play all the numbers, leaving nothing aside. This way the winning number will fall into one of the slips, and all the numbers will show. The problem is have it show all matching numbers in one slot to win the jackpot.
