But there are only 69 straights for the sum 16.

9 boxed 6 ways (singles 6 x 9 = 54) and 5 boxed 3 ways (doubles 5 x 3 = 15)

54 + 15 = 69

Also, why only 69 numbers for sum of 16? There are 14 boxed combos for sum of 16 which would make 84 straight plays. Are you not playing the numbers that have already hit. If so, is that for the month and which state do you use to figure that out?
