It doesn't matter to me, but I think it's nice when someone says it, although it's probably not always sincere like Have a nice day. Certain things become robotic after a while. I admit that in stores I sometimes used a phrase that became a habit after a while.

It's always nice to be helped by a friendly person, no matter what you're doing. Hearing Good luck is much better than being asked if you'll split the jackpot! I've had a few people ask me that too

Yup! This was back in the late 1970s when females forst startedd getting into the dice pits, and a lot of old time players considered female dealers bad luck , kind of like women on ships.

It is a lot better than when they give me the ticket, take my money, and don't say anything.

I also like it when they say good luck, I've been told good luck more times then I haven't, not everytime though.

I don't mind a store clerk saying good luck to me. If they do, I say thank you and move on.

What's wrong with a female dealer saying Good luck ? Does this mean that they might jinx the game for the player if saying those words

I usually purchase my tickets at the 7-11 and the cashiers always tell me, good luck! I don't mind; they're always pleasant and they seem sincere.

You never know how people will react.

I worked in casinos in Vegas and on river boats, we had some players in Vegas, very nasty types, who would actually call a supervisor over and raixse hell because a dealer said, Good Luck (especially if it was a female dealer).

(The ones that were hep l would let the player rant, and then while walking away, say, Good luck, sir. )

Then the river boats started with those Have a Lucky Day slogans which got a lot of #$%* you guys from a lot of people.

You have a very good point. As they say, it's better to recieve a benediction then a malidiction. They could say hope you lose and it could be like saying in show biz break a leg .

I personally could care less what they think,because the reality is(as far as p3 when I do hit)...it isn't luck.

But they should wish luck when it comes to PB/MM or something that may positively affect their bank account where they get a commision off a big hit

I love it when the cashier say Good Luck to people when giving their tickets, don't you?

There are many stores I go to they don't care to smile, or even saying a word...

Most likely I frequent stores that wish me luck, then again often I am in a hurry it doesn't really matter, hehe.
