Jap69's work on the LIFE and times .....of the skipping Digit 2 in Ga since 1993 .... was very compelling to a long time player like me !

Darn John .... for a fella from SC you sure keep extensive records on GA draws .. LOL Thanks a bunch.

.... Also .... tonight the digit 2 showed up in GA EVE draw as 292 . It couldn't make it much past that 15 mark .

I played it with all doubles with digit 2 ...and hit it straight thanks to a STRAIGHT list I track with.

I was able to warn as many folks in Ga as I could about that digit and think... [ More ]

If I take away the number 2 from 0-9, I'm left with nine numbers: 0,1,3,4,5,6,7,8, 9. Plexing that across three positions gives me 9^3, 729 combinations.

Throwing #2 (or any other single number) out of my workout, gives my remaining choices 729/1000 chances of being correct. Or 72.9% on a single trial

So the odds of this method working on a given day (I throw away a number that doesn't fall) is 72.9%

Perhaps a demo using this long out skipping digit #2 ( in all postions) as an example would help bring it home. That digit 2 on Ga. Eve..... is now out 15 days in all postions.

Odds of a single digit showing in one of 3 positions each time is..... 3/10 or 1 in 3.33 and so.... I think that ... ( with modification ) part is what we need here..... perhaps.

Is there a formula for a math average expectation for this occurance?

(1 - odds) ^ trials = expectation

odds = some number between 0 and 1 (for whatever theory you're working)

trials = number of drawings

expectation = percent of total trial sets

This also works (with modification) to tell you how often you can expect a thing NOT to happen

Wow Mr Bob ! You are too good ....

Let me see if I have this sort of right ......and understand these combined stats....

Ga eve has had 5,648 draws and Midday has had .....3,461 for a total of 9,109 yes?

Now.... 15 + draws of skips per digit .....going left to right starting with digit 0 = 19 times

Adding that line ... All 10 digits add up to ...... 178 times total history we had digit skips of 15+draws or more

9,109 draws / 178 = 51.1 draws ...ON average that we

Chaz, this data covers the entire Georgia cash-3 game from the first draw. I made a few changes to show the averages and also the number of times that each digit has been out longer than15 draws, remember, this is for the combined draws since i don't have separate data bases for the mid and eve drawings:

Thanks for all the responces .... all of them ....very interesting. Say Bob ...what is that time frame there?

I think about this situation all the time a digit goes missing in all postions for a long time (15 + draws) or so....and always mean to stop and study the stats around such times .....but never get back to it.

Now is a good time .....because I would like to come up with a play strategy for when it happens.....the next time.

Some sort of dependable progression strategy ....sta... [ More ]

Yes, there is a mathematical expectation. I can't remember the formula. Off the top of my head, I'm thinking it works out to roughly 2 draws (2.2 or 2.5).

The answer to your first question depends on the state and digit. I don't have the results for 15 draws but I do have the answer for 16 draws in the state of Texas Midday. These results are totals back to 2002. I haven't tried breaking it down by the year. I pay more attention to the longest out column.
