I never watch Reality shows. Life is crazy, messed up scary enough without somebody reminding me. I do enjoy watching game shows, however.

I have to admit I do watch those shows. And I really enjoy the lottery winning ones as it is interesting to see what people do with the windfall of money.

Of course peope will do it for free. If somebody didn't want theirchance to be on TV, they wouldn't do the show at all. If they do wantthe chance to be on TV they'll be happy to do it for free.

I'd say you've confused cause and effect. Reality shows don't make people dumber, dumber people make reality shows successful. More correctly, dumber people make bad reality shows successfu. Just because a show isn't fictional or scripted doesn't mean it's bad, any more than being a scripted fictional show automatically makes something good.

No bashley I won't watch the show, or any reality show for that matter. I think its no coincidence that all this contributes to the dumbing down of America, and allowing someone like Bush to become president.

Todd, you need to prepare for a massive invation when someone mentioned LP. The site will be super slow after the show :P

What I really want to see on TLC is a new concept on how winners spending their money...enough with the same old stories.

There are lots of winners who wouldn't mind, and in fact would love to have a shot at their 15 minutes of fame. There have been a number of big winners here both members and visitors and I hope the ones who wouldn't mind opening the book on their lives a bit see this post. Just be sure to mention Lottery Post

My question is why are they going to keep the title of the series Lottery Changed My Life when they want to also include people who came into sudden money through other means like the casino, a raffle, an inheritance, or a lawsuit? I think a more appropriate title in that case would be, How a Windfall Changed My Life.

Respect for winners privacy? If any winner wants to maintain thier privacy they wouldn't allow a tv show to exploit it. Thats why there is so many of these stupid reality shows, people are so obsessed with celebrity that they'll sell thier soul in an attempt to mimic them.
