SmoothJuice,

Some people, given the chance to be in a position to tell other people what to do, just get off on it. In casino work these jerks are called strokers, that is someone who wants to make the dealer work as much as possible, all too often for the minimum bets possible.

Around here some of the lottery outlets have signs posted:

If you're playing more than three numbers, fill out a playslip.

I don't blame the stores one bit for doing that.

(Numbers meaning sets of numbers,... [ More ]

See, I would never think of just spitting out numbers and having the clerk punch them in. I don't think it is that hard to fill in a slip. So, I agree with you. Plus, I think it makes the clerk job much easier. The only time I have had the clerk punch in numbers manually, is when the machine wouldn't except the slip. But she knew it wasn't working so she had to punch in the numbers.

If you had put your bottle of water back on the shelf and left, maybe the owner would think he was losing business and post a sign requesting lottery players make out a play slips instead.

Before MegaMillions came to Ohio, I and other Ohioans would travel across the boarder to Indiana to play PowerBall and Michigan to play BigGame and all the places selling lottery tickets had such a sign because the lines would get long when the jackpots got high. Some places even had a box of preprinted qu... [ More ]

I am a lottery player but the thing I hate most is when players, especially Pick 3 and Pick 4 players, tell the cashier what numbers they want instead of filling out a play slip. I remember when I worked at a store, there's many Pick 3 and Pick 4 players who would tell me their long list of numbers; pay for them; then tell their friends numbers so they can play seperately. This upsets other customers and it gets really annoying.

Fill out the play slips people!!!!! They are there for a reason... [ More ]
