Zero repeat expected every 2.1 draws or 46.8% of the draws.

One repeat expected every 2.5 draws or 40.1% of the draws.

Two repeat expected every 8.6 draws or 11.7% of the draws.

Three repeat expected every 70.8 draws or 1.4% of the draws.

Four repeat expected every 1,415.8 draws or 0.1% of the draws.

The thing about repeating numbers.I remember the time when someone had won $millions of dollars in the lottery.(MM).I bought those same numbers on the following game and I got three of those same numbers. You never know.

Any number cannot truly be retired since it's still in the mix and can be drawn. Usually numbers repeat from drawing to drawing in the short term, but for all we know number sets can reoccur from years ago. One thing I've learned is in the pick 10 game it usually takes a whole year before a set of numbers are drawn. I'm still working on speeding up the process and filtering the trends.

Hey thanks for the reply diamond/jap69, I should have probably noted that I was leaning towards the larger pool of numbers with 53+ no powerball ranges.

I've been keeping a spreadsheet with the last 3 months drawings and while a 2 number sequence happens often i.e. 1/10 and 1/14 drawings the

no5 and no6 positions were 40 41 consecutive it doesn't really happen too often. When I won 4/6 I kinda thought to myself what are the odds for 4 of these numbers turning up again but

Hi, welcome to LP.

For me, it really depends on the game, how often number(s) repeated, and how long it stays hot/cold. With the small number pool, numbers tends to repeat itself, as for larger pool will have less repeated numbers. Games with 25 numbers total will have a more repeated numbers within few days, than that of 56 numbers game.

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody had any thoughts on when to put a sequence or range of numbers on the shelf and for how long.

For instance, if you were to hit 4/6 would you retire those 4 set of numbers for a specified period of time or would you continue to play the set

even if they came up the previous week(s).
