you forget the crucial ingredient into this mix pumpi, human greed.

im not saying i cant trust you but when teams of 25 members etc, it all adds upto someone screwing it up for others, ie by not placing their bet, or running off with their winnings instead of sharing. etc.

nice dream , but then so is communism. it just dont work in the real world.

my bad i forgot to mention that i got this idea also from psykomo about his pool...

if we had 20 teams of 25 members each; each team playing $20 dollars a month and each team playing 5 pick4 combinations Straight then that will be 100 combinations that predictors got to get pick4 STRAIGHT , can you imagine if all 20 teams of 25 members each played 40 dollars a month? Each one playing 10 Pick4 combinations Straight then that will be 200 combinations that predictors got to get pick4 Straight ..... [ More ]

another idea is this, suppose you spend $20 per month on pick4...then 25 members x $20 = $500......$500 playing 5 combination $100 each per combination will be $100 x $ 5,000= $500,000 divided by 25 members = $20,000 per member, still better than pick4 jackpot...but the question is can they predict pick4 Straight with 5 combinations....

Another way to approach it is to get the predictions of a very good predictor and let's say is 5 combinations, then we get teams of 25 member each team pool playing different numbers and if correct 1 of them is bound to get it correct...you may not win but your next door member team maybe will win...

I got this idea from reading one of lantern's blog...

This is titled Maybe this is better than Playing the lottery even though is not better than playing megamillions but is better than playing Pick3, Pick4 and Pick5...Or so it looks theoretically...

What if you create a pool of 25 players and each plays 10 dollars a month....Now suppose you play pick4 and you track pick4 and play just 1 number Straight option...25 members x $10 = $250...[like if you play triples or 1 double]...Now $250 x... [ More ]
