The reason it turned your cells blue was because you started dragging in the column header instead of this, put your cursor in the first cell, keep the button down, when you get to the last cell, release the button. All the cells should be highlighted or flashing. Post a sample of your formulas. The formulas should still work. The references will change automatic.

Thanks CarBob!

When I do this though, it turns all cells blue in color... but I can't sort.

This way may not work either as all middle cells are formulated and I think it'll throw things out of whack.

Rakster, is this what you are looking for? You don't need a formula to sort. Put your cursor in the first cell of the first column, drag down and across to cover all the cells, then sort by the column where the hits are.

HITS

D1 D2 D3 ALL

4 1 1 2 4 A 4

3 1 1 1 3 B 9

8 0 3 0 3 C 8

9 1 0 2 3 D 3

2 1 1 0 2 E 2

6 1 1 0 2 F 6

1 0 0 1 1 G 1

5 1 0 0 1 H 0

7 1 0 0 1 I 5

0 0 0 1 1 J 7

This is going to be tough formulating this...

I want the numbers in PURPLE to show up highest to lowest based on the numbers in YELLOW that represent them...

Like the 4 had hit 4 times that week... need a formula that would indicate the 4 is the top number not the number of times it hit...

Thats a bad example as the 4 hit 4 times... look at the 9... it hit 3 times.. I want the formula to show the 9 as second strongest as it hit 3 times... so the 9 appears not the 3...

I know I am ask... [ More ]
