You might want to do a search for the TIC TAC TOE system

Where you put 9 digits in a box form like this

It might be the last three numbers that came out--- you make numbers from it same idea can be used for pick 4

I guess that I confused a few people about what I wanted in those 16 numbers......

Got Confused myself also......Butt anyway yes it would include 1000 numbers because

all the digits 0---9 are in there.....Took a little time to wake up and see it......

Thanks for all the help ---four4me and phileight and the rest that did help also.....

Anyway will scrap that idea because to many numbers......

Will work on another way ....

Maybe i'm misreading your post. you say you have 16 digits which means to me that you want to use all the numbers. If that is the case you can have 1000 combinations since you have all 10 digits. If you are only looking for possible 3 # combinations within each 4 digit combination, thats a different problem. I hope one of the other responses answered your question. if not better define your question.

You have every number there from 0 through 9 so essentially you can make 1000 numbers form them.

Butt that doesn't tell me how many 3 digit numbers that there are in the 16 numbers...

Guess that I don't understand it......You have 40 numbers for doubles and you said

the other 2 doubles ---which would be another 40 -----so that is 80 doubles??????

Don't know how many 3 digit with no doubles or trips ?????

Can anyone tell me the TOTAL??????

and trips.....And can only use these 16 numbers???

Also is there a formula for this ---that would

work in excel???I can get 33 numbers but we know there is more...
