I forgot to mention, if you want to enter your 4-digit number in any other cell other than A1, replace A1 in the formulas with the cell you will use for that purpose.

In Cell A1 on your Excel spreadsheet, post your 4-digit number.

Then, in the 24 cells in which you would like your permutations to appear, copy and paste (or enter) the following formulas:

=(LEFT(A1,1)*1000)+(MID(A1,2,1)*100)+(MID(A1,3,1)*10)+(RIGHT(A1,1)*1)

=(LEFT(A1,1)*1000)+(MID(A1,2,1)*100)+(RIGHT(A1,1)*10)+(MID(A1,3,1)*1)

=(LEFT(A1,1)*1000)+(MID(A1,3,1)*100)+(MID(A1,2,1)*10)+(RIGHT(A1,1)*1)

=(LEFT(A1,1)*1000)+(MID(A1,3,1)*100)+(RIGHT(A1,1)*10)+(MID(A1,2,1)*1)

=(LEFT(A1,1

Thanks chattanoogadog. But I was looking for the 24 combination for each number I listed. I was hoping for a system or tool or maybe if someone has it to forward to me.

Thanks mjwinsmith, but some of us are not as gifted as others. Here's a list of single pick 4 numbers I have I need all the combination for each number. I know it may be time consuming to put together, but, that's why I was hoping for a system or maybe someone may already have it. If you or someone here on LP can assist me with this I would be most grateful and thankful.

If you can master the Pick-3 6-way digit sets then you are good to go, just remember that the first position for the pick-4 game, and the rest you can work up. Example: 1,2,3,4 take the first digit {1} now that being in the first position; 1xyz [the remaining digits x=2, y=3 and z=4] think about the 6 way set for the Pick-3 (234) = 234,243,324,342,423 and 432. Now just add these sets to position 1 of the pick four number and you come up with; 1234-1243-1324-1342-1423-1432.

With four (4) distinct digits in four (4) different positions there very well should be a formular somewhere here on the LP. Don't laugh, but I can do this in my head, 24-way sets of numbers. There might also be some type of formular in algebra or trig or something.

Again, four different digits so only one digit can occupy on position at a time, while the others occupy another position the digit does'nt.

1234-1243-1324-1342-1423-1432

2134-2143-2314-2341-2413-2431

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know or maybe can lead me in the direction how can I get all the possible combination for a single pick 4 number? For example: all the different ways that 1234 can be drawn. Is there a system, if so, how to use it and is it available on LP?

PS. I need this as a gift for myself on MOTHER'S DAY.
