In Texas, 6 of the 7 5/5 winners picked their own numbers. The '48' suggests birthdays were a factor.

Actually it was multiples of 12. 12-24-36-48 The numbers 0 and 60 were not chosen because they are not in available numbers to choose.

If it was multiples of 6. Then selecting 06 and 54 could have been possible. Since both of those numbers are available in the game.

The only exceptions to the mulitple of 12 rule was WB 07 and MB 27. The WB 07 is a typical number chosen since it is the pop culture's most luckiest number. So it isn't such a shock to see 07 in a drawing.

All but the WB 07 and MB 27 were multiples of six so maybe it was a case of a bunch of players playing some kind of number distribution pattern with gaps of 5-6 between each numbers. I couldn't find a recent event in the news with those numbers.

Wow! 2 jackpot winners and 33 match 5 winners. That is crazy, especially since the jackpot wasn't really that high. Is this a case of the fortune cookie scenario we had with Powerball a couple years back...haha. I mean it could be birthday's but usually not that many people hit it right on.
