see the post complex substraction problem started by Win D. with some modification this code will remove duplicates from a list. that is essentually what it is doing. This code compares two lists instead of just one . if you are interested give me some cell references as to where your file is located and max number of numbers , also is it one cell per set or three?

If you drag the settings instead of copying and pasting it changes the code for each cell you drag it to.

You can copy the original cell then paste to the other cells. It will update the cell addresses automatically, so that part might be wrong and you will have to change it. Still better than having to type it over and over.

oh I forgot to ask...is there a formula to use on excel or a command not to write duplicates, I mean to disregard duplicates. Results of the workouts sometimes are duplilicated.

Thank you Jack C, it works....so if I have 10 cells where 10 or negative 1 is expected to appear I will have to do formatting on the individual cells? Is there a way I can format it one time only? Really I appreciate all your efforts to share your expertise on this. Thank you so much.

Try this:

=mod(a1+a2,10)

This should probably be in the mathematics forum, not Pick 3.

Please, if anyone out there can help me what to write on a specefic cell or cells so that when no 10 is the no that should fall there ( say 9+1=10) what is reflected will only be 0 and if it is negarive 1 ( 1-10) the no to appear will only be the no 9. I am trying to make a simple system on pick 3. It is working but I do not want to see 10 instead of 0 and -1 instead o f 9, it is an eyesore lol!
