Similar times of the month had similar distribution of numbers. I didn't think this happened and had been filtering out combinations with 5 or more numbers within one digit of a previous drawn combination. In the future I will only filter out combinations that have 4 or more numbers that are the same as a previous drawn combination.

I usually play 10-20 lines when ever I play any lottery game. I've played the Ohio Classic Lotto game off and on and most times I don't even match three numbers for a $2 prize but about half the time I play MegaMillions I get a 0+1 or better for a $2 or$3 prize so I feel like I do better playing MM.

I picked the following 238 combinations while using my system to pick 10-20 lines to play for tonight's Classic Lotto drawing. I tried 3 times, first was 20 lines with general parameters, then 20 lines with a little tighter parameters and finally 15 lines with a combination of both. My system came up with 56 lines for Ohio Classic Lotto today before I've picked 10 to play. It rejected some bases on my previous preferences and placed a code to explain why and I rejected the rest. I played 20 lines and the best I did was match2 x 3. I was feeling down until I noticed there were more than 100 predictions on the prediction board and no one that got a match3 either. Looks like the best strategy for this game is to have all the numbers in nine lines and hope you get lucky with 3 or more of the winning numbers on the same line.

I was going to splurge on MM and CL tomorrow, but I'm going to skip it since somebody won MM and splurge on CL. Instead of making statistical picks, I'm going to add in my personal numbers (just for the heck of it, since it is my bday) and maybe use some wacky combinations, such as 4 low numbers or 4 high numbers, 3-in-a-rows, etc.

I played MegaMillions yesterday and played Classic Lotto today, it's not often I can play 2 games with nice jackpots locally. I had almost given up on Classic Lotto until I matched four on the forth and now that MM was hit, I'll spend more time picking my CL numbers and hoping to get lucky.

The payouts were in the $50K range which means tickets sales were probably as good as ever. Probably too many players like me who are using a system to pick their combinations and missing those combination... [ More ]

If an investment group played all the possible combinations as a group did in the Virgina lottery some years back they could deduct the $13,983,816.00 they paid for their tickets from their winnings before taxes. That's very true RJ. I know a lot of people played for tonights drawing since it increased by $400 thousand, which is the maximum it can increase. According to the website, the cash option value is $14,250,000 (before taxes), after taxes are taken into consideration then the actual net value is $9,832,500. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 13,983,816. I think I could handle the net value!

A TIP: If you are using previous drawings of Ohio Classic Lotto to filter out combinations of sixes and fives that have already hit and you have a copy of the old Super Lotto Plus file, you can add its 543 drawings and have a bigger filter. So far only three combinations of five from Super Lotto Plus have repeated in the Classic Lotto drawings. Super Lotto Plus ran from 07/15/2000 to 10/05/2005.

I had every winning number twice but only managed to get two of them on the same line three times. From the size of the payout, I'm guessing a lot of players matched 3 or better. It's easier to get a MegaMillion match 0+1 for $2 than it is to get a Classic Lotto match 3 for $2.

I never had a chance of coming up with that combination as I usually spread my numbers all over the place.

I grew up in a rural area between Huron and Vermillion. Been in Tx 11 years.

I don't follow the lotteries too much up there. About 20 years ago I did win almost $1000 getting 5 of 6 on the lotto in Ohio. Can't remember if it was Classic Lotto or what it was called.

It is kinda weird. There have been 3 winners this year in Lotto Texas. 10mil, 11 mil, and 28 mil. I read in meeting transcripts that the commisioners are a little bummed that the jackpot keeps getting hit before it can get really big.

When Classic Lotto does get hit, it will probably be some weird combination of numbers on a QP. Or maybe birthday numbers. Who knows

That's not bad considering the number of lines you're playing. There are players pooling their funds to buy even more lines and not doing as well.

I thought about spending my entire life savings on it.....NOT! LOL!

For entertainment on several occasions, I have made out files of 50 lines of more and every time if I had a match4 or better, it was in the first 15 lines. That has convinced me that if I can't win in 20 or less lines, playing more lines is not likely to help.

Uuuggghhh!!! $70 is nice, but I hate it when that happens! Last year I was playing the Rolling Cash 5 and matched 4 out of the 5 numbers and of course got $300 and that was nice but daggone it, one more number is all I needed!!! I'd like to mention that I matched 4 of 6 for $70 on Monday's drawing, using my own numbers. The most maddening thing? The other 2 numbers were in my pool of numbers to use too

I always believe that a jackpot that has been rolling a ridiculous amount of time will hit in the near future. Although near is a relative term like time. I year can seem like eternity to a 15 yr old waiting to turn 16 so they can have their first car and start driving....however to someone who has accomplished all they want to do in their life a year might not seem like much.

I played 40 lines last night and only matched 2 nine times, I won't be trying that again. I picked those lines from 100 lines generated by my RNG which only pick combinations within the parameters that I choose and when I checked the rejects, there were only two match3 in them. It's harder to get a match3 or better with Classic Lotto than to get a hit that pays with MegaMillions.

I can't believe no one has won this jackpot yet. I played 14 lines for last night's drawing and on 2 of the lines I got 2 numbers. It seems I can rarely ever get 3 numbers on a line. I just think it's odd how no one is winning it. It says the maximum the jackpot can increase is 400,000 (based on sales), well it has increased $400,000 several times, so I know people are buying the tickets.

People must not play much, how else would a relativley easy jackpot only 14 million to 1 go so long with no winner.

compared to California SLP 41 million to 1, Lotto Texas 26 million to 1, Florida lotto 23 million to 1

NY lotto 22.5 million to 1 have higher odds but get won frequently

It can hit any time, hard to predict. With the increase of the jackpot prize, there will also be an increase chance of someone will hit it big within a month. Let's not waste energy on that, focus it in picking the best combination and have it a go at the jackpot. Good luck
