Remember this is not one of those which came first the chicken or the egg type of situation, the jackpots are always established before a drawing so the number of jackpots will alway be one a head of the number of drawings until the game has it last drawing.

It means exactly what it says: 733 jackpots since that date. It's almost the same as the number of drawings, but not quite -- because the next drawing has not yet occured, yet that 733 includes the next jackpot. So it is quite literally the number of jackpots.

My advice is that for all statistics on the site (not just that page), try to take what it says literally and not read anything into it that is does not say. There are so many stats on the site that I understand it can become confusing,... [ More ]

Hello,

Just curious when looking at graph for powerball it says below chart:

There are 733 Powerball jackpots since June 8, 2002

Is this just saying there have been 733 drawings or data points, but not necessarily 733 jackpot winners?

I have added a graphical jackpot chart to all jackpot history pages. To access any game's Jackpot History page, simply click on the game name in any results page, and then select Jackpot History from the popup menu.
