I have missed out on the pick 5 in my state. The date was Oct, 31, 2008. I could have won the $500,000 jackpot. The numbers that hit were ones I play on a regular basis. I had taken my children to a Halloween carnival in our hometown and I being pressed fot time, I said to myself I'll play next time when it would not have taken but a minute to run my ticket. Follow your first mind.

Lotto clubs are suppose to be a cheap way for individuals to participate in a lottery as a group. If members got tired of paying then it must not have been cheap enough. You shouldn't ask people to join that aren't willing to pay over a long period of time.

I always run a Lotto Club for the past 5 years and sometimes I get so frustrated with members that I have to stop for a while and take a break... so guess what... we would have won the Jackpot 4 times in the last 5 years! pretty darn frustrating but such is life or people, I guess... Although I've never missed winning the jackpot by not playing, I have missed a chance of winning the 2nd prizes several times. More often than not when I didn't play I saved the money I would have lost had I played. I usually play a different set of combinations every time I play so I expect that will happen again.

YUP! put in in this list of 'Had the winning #'s but didn't play!

It was last October, one of my NORMAL set of numbers that I have been playing for several YEARS! I was 1/2 asleep listing to the numbers come out after the late news heard some #'s hit -3 thought at the time. Then the next morning I saw all 5 of 5 on NY Take 5 hit -- AND I HAD NOT PLAYED!!!!

Continue with it. With the wheeling method you got keep at it. If it hits now, it will also hit later. I don't believe in winning just once, not even on the jackpot prize. You can learn from this and move forward with great speed and effort, because once you hit it big all the work will seemed nothing compare to the experience you'll be having as a winner.

I agree with the seeing too many numbers, it clouds your judgement and we miss our gift that was right in front of us!!

I have missed quitew a few big prizes because of this,Play 4 straight wins, even a Fantasy 5 this year, I was too busy playing daily 3 #'s

I can't express how sorry I am for you. Yes it happens to ALL of us that play on a regular basis. We see so many numbers all the time that it becomes a problem, we lose the ability to ''see'' winners. Happens to me all the time.

Thanks for all the replys guys/gals, it sorta made me feel better knowing that I wasn't alone in doing something this stupid. If I learned anything from this, I'll ALWAYS go out and get my tickets regardless.

I'm sure if we done it once, we can do it again :D I spent a couple good hours going through those numbers, making my predictions then double checking everything -- only to go to bed without buying them :( It will never happen again and that's for sure!

I am so sorry to hear you missed out on winning the Florida Fantasy 5 Game last night. It seems to be happening a lot lately. I recommend to set-up a time system to buy your tickets at the same time during the week, which is what I do. I buy my tickets before I go into work and at lunch time--also it helps to find out the timelimit of buying your tickets each day to enter in time. I truly know exactly how you feel. It happened to me on Thursday, November 16, 2006 in the NC Carolina Cash 5. I did the same exact thing you did too, wheeled my numbers and choose the ones to play, the first 7 on my list. Many years ago a friend of mine and myself went together to purchase a lottery program that just came out on the market it was new and sort of expensive so we both fit half of the billing for the purchasing. Yes I know the feeling and I am sorry that you are going through it now.

I missed out on winning a $5,000 prize and a $500 dollar prize on Wild Card 2, when I didn't make it to the store to play my regular numbers. Although it wasn't a big jackpot prize like you missed out on, it still would have been nice to win a prize of that size.

I know the feeling but on a much smaller scale.

This has happened to me before where I got hung up, lazy or busy with something else and didn't

go out and play big four or daily's and sure enough they came up. Kicked myself but drove on.

Missing the big one would be a sick, sick feeling.

Advice:

Do NOT give up.

Keep playing.

Keep wheeling your numbers.

You had it once, you can have it again.

Last night my wife and I wheeled a series of numbers, we were going to run down to the local c-store and make the purchase, we printed our numbers off, but got busy and before we knew it, it was late night.
