Yes you can do it at the Track too, you know they are going to pass the law for Casinos in Ohio. I am not much going to Casinos, but it will help our State with the jobs and all, by the way what track? Thistledown or Northfield park

My Husand won the pick 4 several times, you can get it all at one time or file at the end of the year.

Ten years ago I matched 5of6 for $1500 in the Ohio lottery for which I had to fill out a claim form. The state sent me a W-2G to file with my taxes. I spent ~$3000 on lottery tickets that year but the $1500 limit I could claim as a lottery lost and the interest on my credit and loans didn't add up to the standard deduction (which I took) so I ended up paying ~$300 more taxes because of my lottery winnings even though I actually lost more than I won.

Last year I brought all 375 losing tickets back to the retailer for a refund. He wouldn't go for it.

I suggest you also contact your local IRS agent and ask them what is thier policy for claiming losing tickets. They are friendly and will answer your questions.,

You can claim as a lost up to the amount you claimed you won if it and your other loses exceed the standard deduction for lost. But remember you will also be paying taxes on the additional income you claimed you won.

I would like to know if you can claim losing tickets such as pick 3 or 4 on taxes....Does anyone know? If I can I would have a lot of money,losing tickets in Tennessee are plenty here....
