Okay, actually, I'm a little confused as to what you want.....

if you added five to each digit of your original 3456 and had the result in one cell wouldn't the resulting number be 8901????

if that's what you're looking for then use my first formula

let's say your 3456 is in column A (cell A1)

put this formula in cell B1........ =MOD(MID(A1,1,1)+5,10) MOD(MID(A1,2,1)+5,10) MOD(MID(A1,3,1)+5,10) MOD(MID(A1,4,1)+5,10)

actually....I read your post again and that was not what your are looking for....you need this

put this in cell B1 =MOD(MID(A1,1,1)+5,10) MID(A1,2,1) MID(A1,3,1) MID(A1,4,1) this adds five to the first digit using lotto math

put this in cell C1 =MID(A1,1,1) MOD(MID(A1,2,1)+5,10) MID(A1,3,1) MID(A1,4,1) ...a... [ More ]

Is there a way to add 5 in Excel to each of the individual numbers and have it do lottery math at the same time?

Heres what I am looking for...

say the number is 3456

I want to first add 5 to the 3 to get a complete # 8456

then add 5 to second digit, 3956

then add 5 to third digit, 3406

then add 5 to last digit, 3461

but I don't want it to show regular adding but Lotto math... is ther such a formula out there to be used?

I would like my final number all into one cell not... [ More ]

Thank you both for posting this. I have been doing my calculations by hand, then putting them on the excel sheet... would be way more efficient to place the formula in a cell and let the calculations begin

=MOD(A1+B1,10)

A1 contain 4

B1 contain 8

put the formula above in C1 and it will create lotto math, best for pick 3 and pick 4.

In cell A1 and B1: 4 and 8

In cell C1: =A1+B1 (resulting in '12')

In cell D1: =INT(C1/10) (resulting in '1')

In cell E1: =C1-D1*10 (resulting in '2') which is the information you need.

Hi everyone, I am trying to fine tune my spreadsheet to track numbers from my previous posts. Can someone here help me out with a bit of excel. I am trying to get LotteryMath to work in excel. For example, 4+8 = 12.... but i need 4+8 = 2
