Once My Husband and I went to Huntsville Alabama to a FuneraL And We were going to go play the lottery but we had to travel about 15 mi. Because they don't have the lottery in Huntsville. We had to go to across the bridge to Tennesee So It took us about 15 to 20 mi. before we could play our numbers. 15, to 20 mins.

Before MegaMillions was available in my state, I would travel an hour to an out of state location to buy PowerBall or BigGame tickets when their jackpots exceeded $120M+ but I also picked up tickets for friends too. Now I only travel to town to get tickets for myself.

I travel about a mile to Illinois to buy Mega Million tickets and sometimes a scratch off ticket or two.I travel about a mile to Missouri to buy gas because the fuel tax is cheaper there than here in Iowa. Sometimes I'll buy scratch off tickets when I fill up the gas tank.I don't buy Powerball tickets in Missouri because I buy them here in Iowa,no sense in paying taxes in both states when I win.I'll buy tickets in other states if I happen to be in a state that sells lottery tickets but I won't m... At this time, I won't leave my state just to play a different lottery game. I'm not going to spend extra money for gas or plane tickets just to buy lottery tickets. If I want to play the lottery, I can just walk a couple blocks to get to nearest store(s) around me or drive a couple of miles and get to a bunch of other stores.

I have never traveled very far to play any lottery game.
