I know PA had a 7 number game an like i said other stated did too. But when powerball and mega millions came along people spent money on them and not the pick 7 game which were near impossible to hit some states pots grew for over a year before they were won players lost interest in pick 7 games.

I may be wrong, but weren't there other States besides Maryland, back in the 80's who had a pick 7 Lotto ? New York ? I'm remember faintly there was one out there. Maybe it was in the 90's. My wife and I used to drive up to Atlantic City twice a year and I remember throwing a few what the heck bucks on it.

Maryland had Cash in Hand which was a pick 7 of 31 from 1/23/1998. to 9/14/2002 they did away with the game because it didn't generate lots of money for the state and the players didn't like the payouts or the roll overs.

Other states may have had similar games as well. With Mega millions and powerball... states don't need to compete with them. Or have more drawings that they have to fit into an already tight budget.

exactly. there is a fine balance between lottery and other games of bypassing hard work and getting funds faster (main reason why most of us do what we do :)

the fine line is how easy is to play a particular game, ie. casino requires time (car, to get there, deal with sales people on the floor etc:)

the odds in the lottery are already astronomical for all lotteries (governments, States made sure of that!) adding 7-number lottery or 2$ a ticket is not necessary in my opinion, States are rac... [ More ]

You make it sound as if they'll force us to play it....lol.... If it's too hard to win or costs too much then don't play it.

All LP members i encourage you start working extra hard and see how you can work on Pick7 systems because i've visited several International lotteries and they are all starting to create Pick7 games....The United States have not done so because i guess they are trying to be nice to you and in this economy BUT IS COMMING, SOON ALL LOTTERIES WILL HAVE 1 OR 2 PICK7 GAMES IN THEIR ARSENAL...SO start BRACING yourself for it...IS LIKE A TREND IN LOTTERY....
