I am grateful for honest feedback and criticism, just as I am for the supportive comments, especially if it is expressed from the heart and not designed to smear. There's a big difference between honest critique and flaming, and yours is most clearly honest critique.

As you say, you did not write to write to me and you did nothing wrong. Some people acted like the world was coming to an end because a new ad appeared, whereas you expressed an opinion when I asked for feedback.

I do not want to be put into the class of low class that felt they needed to attack Todd for what he did.

I did not write to him.

I only posted here because he asked for opinions and fb.

The way he explained things, I fully understand the changes that were made and why he did it.

One day zooming along responding, posting and reading I noticed - Hey! What's this ad doing down

Well, ya can't please everyone...I guess some people don't understand all of life isn't a free ride...Hopefully, after you explanation the complaints will cease...yeah, right, but the site is a great site where people can help one another, and learn a variety of lottery info...The ads are an expectation for me....Any reasonable person would expect such....

Thank you for explaining in great detail for a non techie like me. I have a better understanding of why when I go on Texas Lottery website, I get that page cannot be displayed error. My feedback is that you need to do what you need to do. I do not have any negative feelings towards the ads because I greatly enjoy LP, and while I don't understand what goes on behind the scenes regarding websites, it doesn't take a genius (and I'm definitely not one,LOL) to know that it takes time and money to do... Todd..take my word for it..the people here at Lotterypost, NEED Lotterypost whether they will admit it or not..The small amount all of us who pay for memberships is MINISCULE compared to the advantage this site gives all of us who plays the lottery..Even if you decided to charge more for the memberships I would still be more than Happy to pay for it BECAUSE THE DATA here is FIRST RATE, Needed and APPRECIATED more than you... I have to wonder why you (Todd) would even feel the need to explain and justify - so indepth, I might add - why there are more adversitments on your site.

If you're not offsetting Standard Member usage with enough adds, then you are basically allowing the Standard Member to inevitably put you in the red.

I question the IQ's of anyone who complains about ads on this site when it's free to visit here.

You need more ads, Todd. I'm not kidding

You do a supurb job of making this the best website on the Net! If ads are needed to keep it going so be it! I know it is expensive to keep a big and growing site like this going

My only problem with the ads ... well with one ad only ... the Toyota ad kept showing up even though as a Premium member I had that function turned off ... ordinarily that would not bother me a bit cuz I love Toyotas and proudly drive a Prius myself. I can't even begin to fathom how anyone can justify complaining about something they haven't supported financially. Not to mention getting nasty about it. It just boggles my mind.

This is a great site, I am glad you are doing what you have to do to keep things running smoothly. Have you ever thought about offering substantially higher priced Multi-year or Lifetime memberships?

Brilliant move to go after ad revenue. I've noticed an increase in ads of all kinds, also sweepstakes so companies are spending money to draw in customers. Get the money while it's there. Business is business and paying overhead is not a sell out .... would say the same thing even if I were a standard member.

I suggest marking a date three months from now on the calender and by then check to see if the return from the bottom of the thread ads makes it worth having them. If the bottom of the thread ads don't support the site, they should be the first to go as more intrusive then the top banner and left column ads. I would turn them off, but it's an all or nothing proposition and I find the other ads interesting enough to leave them on.

i've been gifted 2 years Platinum membership and none i've seen the ads when using premium membership, i'm forget did i turn the graphical ads or it just automatic turn off when using premium membership

Doesn't bother me not to squeeze every penny from my membership fee. Honestly I didn't know until I was told here, by you that I could disable

the ads. I use my platinum status for the reason this site exists. The incidentals don't bother me much...unless they come up.

I am sorry to hear that the ad at the bottom of the page is irritating.

Where would you put the ad on the forum pages?

Maybe you don't visit other forums, but if you get the chance, you might notice that most forums mix the ads directly into the thread content, as if the ad is another post. So maybe the second or third post down would be an ad, followed by more posts.

Would that be a better place to put the ad, or should I keep it at the bottom of the page, like it is now

The only gripe I have is where the ads are placed. When you go to respond to a post, you have to click the reply button on the AD! Now, the

whole point of strategically placing ads is for them to be seen but you know also they are placed in areas where you might *accidentally*

click on them. No other spot on the page could have been better for everyone to see the ad of the day, so I see the point. Still, irritating.

I have actually wondered why there are no Google Adwords or in-text advertsing here (such as Vibrant Media or Kontera). I think you should implement one or more of those types of ads systems. Missing a huge opportunity.

Todd, I think you have struck a good balance for the betterment of this site. As a premium member if I don t like the additional adds I have the ability to turn them off as you stated. What more could you ask for, the price of a premium membership to me is well worth it, and as a matter of fact I don t block the ads, some of them I find interesting and go to the websites to check out the offerings further.

Todd the advertising does not bother me. It is tastefully done and well placed. I view it all as a vehicle for knowledge and information.

The Lottery Post offers a wealth of information all under one roof with an extensive numbers history, lottery tools, forums packed with vital information, etc. most importantly YOU. Our Chief Bottle Washer who always makes himself very accessible to us however busy he may be.

If it helps your site, I think you are obligated to run ads. I see no problem with that.

You could probably put three ads (or more) running along the bottom of the page - where I currently see only one ad.
