Clever decision to turn you attention to especially pick-3. Unfortunately it's not played in Poland. Much easier and when playing pairs you stand a very good chance of winning. Though I do not think GH is the best software to do it right.

Yes, it does seem that way. I have to admit that I've learned quite a bit since this tread has started and although I've not posted a lot, I've started looking at every feature in the software so that I can pass it on.

I've earnestly started using my software to track pick 3 and pick 4 here in TX. Still inputting the data from 1993 to present. I am also inputting the pick 3 and pick 4 lotto information as vtrac.

I wonder what kind of help you expect if you consistently select right numbers in a pool of 10 or 12. It's a luxury problem. Then I would wheel them 4 of 5 at least.

The B Chart is such a great indicator to work with. When you see a considerable amount of difference in the recent dynamics of the game, the B Chart along with it's F4 screens can assist in the direction of the next set of winning numbers.

I like to use as many charts as I can. Focusing on short term 1st. As with all the short term, including the B chart, I want to see what direction the game is traveling; as in MI 5/39 I play. I already know where it's been hence past draws.

What I'm looking for is a Bias on the TOT AVG columns. I look to see if those two columns are above or below the mean as decribed on pg. 43 of the LMG.

I got one question to all of you using A+. Have you ever tried using exclusively 1 chart for selecting numbers. Chart B with skips due. Say we set B4.1 to IN L5 and gamesout to 30 games. Then we select skips most due( higher skips with 0 and lower skips with max 1, except for skip o and 1 which maybe higher.

Without very strict rules like: 15 numbers chosen at most it always ends up in 20 odd numbers. The other way of playing without so much guesswork would be choosing top rankin 2, 3 or 4 numbers with all their pairings and excluding all the numbers which have not come up with those favorites in say 50 or 100 games. However that would give us more numbers to wheel than the first option.

This is true. I'm also trying to narrow down which few charts to use on a regular basis and not bother with all the other ones because they just increase the size of the pool. Like being brave and just picking from charts 3, 4 6. Also spot checking chart 7 for locating the overall top rankers and where they currently are on chart 4.

Thats right with numbers scattered all over the charts. It's exactly the reason why I want to get away from that as there is no way to allow for all good numbers in play. It's sort of basing on facts. The facts are following :

these are 2 or 3 best numbers in last 20 draws or so

and these are their best pairings within a couple of last years.

That's one of the reasons I did go for 20 draws which keeps us in touch with what's going on in last draws. Only pairings are from last 500 draws.

Well we can go a bunch of different ways here ... and I think this is where we would have to decide if this strategy is for the long haul run and just to have coverage, then picking the high ranking ones won't differ much whether the entire history is used or the last 100 games, because the same #'s will be in there. The problem would come when trying to narrow down the right power #'s if this were going to be a wheel in constant play. I'm not sure which I prefer, hence why no recent jackpot yet... [ More ]

Well, I managed with 20 draws and with 2 base numbers and 8 best pairings it gave me exactly 16 numbers to wheel. One of the numbers is last draw winner so becomes power number.

One caveat Maria. If we look at a range of 20 draws only you see them huddled together quite often more than 3 or 4 numbesr with the same ranking. So we have to decide which ones to choose or go for 100 draws when in most cases you will see 3, 4 or max 5 favorites. If you take 4 it anyway will boil down to 18 numbers or less as they do repeat. What do you think

It might also be not a bad idea to do following. Say we decide to wheel 18 numbers. So lets take 3 most frequent hitting numbers from last 20 draws along with their best 5 pairings. That give us 18 numbers to wheel. We do it for a month and then check what numbers are the most frequent and do the same with them. yes, we do power wheels. How? I'm with you, all I can seem to string together are 3 of 5's, which I pretty much do by hand and not even wheeling! And I have to add that wheeling such a set does really work, but over the long haul, and maybe 3 or 4 times over the course of a year which you can see by backtesting. You are right as always. You know what's the beauty of that spreadsheet? You do not have to struggle all the time with the question what range will be best for those pairs? All the time, 500, 200, 100 or 50 or maybe even fewer draws. Any decision we take seems to be incorrect.

Hey Guys,

What you may really want to do is lock in on the numbers that have a high hit ratio along with their favorite pairings for your specific game. In essence this is sort of the same as what Diamond P's lock n load is. I also gave a year's worth of draws for NJ Cash 5 and the results weren't impressive. His excel sheet is beautiful, but I think each game has its own idiosyncrasies, so the +1/-1 will work for some and not others. Just a thought ...

If I'm not mistaken, The greendestiny wrote he used DiamondPalace with success. I read User's Guide and it follows +/- numbers from 1 through 10 and shows hit frequency for each arrangement. How successful it can be I have no idea. Never used it. Just asked Diamond to set up the sheet for my games. Then I will havea shot and tell you how it does.

I received the email to get the Filtered Full Wheel Generator, I'm thinking about getting it, has anyone used it enough to comment on the filters? For the price, and saving $10 before April 10th I'll probably order it today. Not that I will be making large full wheels but I'm definitely curious about the software.

One more thing I would like to draw your attention to. Number positions. Numbers like to stick to some postions more than others. If for example we take a range of 98 draws for pick-6 games we will see that some numbers have a very high frequency of hitting in specific positions only. I do not mean 1 or 49 which if hit do so in position 1 and 6 respectively, which is natural. For example number 12 if hits in more than 50% of cases in hits in position 2, while number 18 in position 3.

When using chart 4, find a few patterns that best fit the profile for your game and focus on them.

Flag Formation-Bottoms-Trend Reversal find the pattern(s) that happens the most in your game. Also keep in mind that the patterns can be off by one drawing. Think out of the box a little. Have there ever been any upside down flags in your game? Have you noticed any trend reversals that have a habit of hitting after each other

In my haste to answer your post while you were still online I didn't answer all the questions, but yes, I will typically select my power numbers by taking what I deem the strongest number and its best pairing. Most times all of the candidates would have been in the last 5-10 games out range, since they often play together (but obviously not always or it would be a snap!). And what I've noticed for my 5/40 game is that the strongest number will bring along 1 or 2 of its best friends even... [ More ]

That leaves us with a nightmarish question of 2 power numbers. Apparently obvious answer would be take your strongest number and its best pairing. I looked at the skip of that strategy. The best pairing for the most frequent nnumber from the last 500 games hits every 100 games or so. So if that strategy were to be adopted the best thing would be to check the last hit of that strategy and start playing it ar. game 100 from the last hit of the pair. Thanks, Maria. Interesting indeed. As Lottery Director has no database of Poland' lotto games I would have to input data manually. Impossible! However I could solve the problem using another application I got which lists all possible pairings of numbers for any range I choose. Most probably the range of analysis should be somehow limited. I've read time and again that entire history might even be misleading. Some 500 draws is enough for pick-5 games to base on.

I've been reading the posts with great interest. I've only had the A+ software for a couple of weeks and so far I've just been playing on paper while I try to get better at reading the charts. Okay, well this is where it gets interesting ... and obviously very difficult otherwise we'd be hitting the jackpot on a regular basis! When you get lottery director up and running you will notice one of the options is to zoom in on all of the numbers individually. This is the equivalent to hitting 8 in Advantage Plus and then F4. Ok, I got your point. I think the main question is range of analysis for numbers. So what range do you look at when choosing 10 friends and other 12 numbers?

Is it entire history, or say 100 or 50 games for choosing basic numbers and 5 or 10 for hot promising ones? Last and not least power numbers are selected using basic numbers or from the lucky 12

That's exactly the mistake I had been making for the past forever, thinking that the set needs to change daily! Ideally, if we are going to make a wheel with 20+ numbers (or say half the game) and we use enough numbers from the range of 0-5 games out, then somewhere within 3 draws those numbers should fall. The point is you have to rearrange the set every time you play as numbers change from game to game. So it will not be the same set. But that's not the worst part of it. The biggest headache is power numbers. I'm not Gail who's expert at selecting power numbers. Hitting one is quite a feat, let alone 3.

If you can select 3 power numbers properly you can have wheel practically any numbers you like. Even all of them in a game.

BTW I had a closer look at what Karnac shared with us. I backtested in in 100 games and the results are promising. 22 times 5-number hit. Better than dictated by probability rule for playing 30 numbers as on average it should give us 9 hits in 100 games.

Wow, I definitely wasn't paying attention to that aspect and in checking last night's draw using your suggestion you were right on! Number 33 had the highest avg/out ratio but it's median avg skips were not as close as I would have looked for in order to select it as a possible candidate; and it played! My goodness and that's just one draw, didn't backtest yet ...

Backtesting in my game I noticed that ar.70% of the time when choosing the range corresponding to the number of balls in the game one of the numbers with highest avg/out ratio does come out as winner. That's at least in pick-5 game. So not only numbers with the same average and median skips are interesting.

Also, tell me how you are factoring in the avg/out ratio though, because typically the #'s out the longest are more times than not, way over their avg/out ratio. I was paying more attention to their hit ratio to determine if it was usually a hot hitting # versus a cool cat that just comes out every once in a while!

Thanks! I think I might start using 2 or 3 power numbers and use more selections from repeats and double bottoms. I too have noticed that even though the chart says a number is not a multiple hitter with a high average it still will hit even though it has a high percentage. I have missed out out this in the past big time with multiple repeaters. Just like hot numbers hitting 3 or 4 times in a row even though it has never happened before!

I guess we have to use our gut feelings to sometimes.

You're welcome. In my game very active numbers like to hit again, despite the fact that their multiple hit ratio is higher than average so theoretically should not be played. Lotto flag formation works good as well, even when it's not perfect. I think it's more economical to play with a couple of power numbers than without it. It's in the game that we cannot count on hitting all the time. If you play with 2 or 3 power numbers you can wheel much more other ones. You will not hit all the time, but... [ More ]

Look at your history and see how your flag formations have occurred.

I know in my game they sometimes are off by 1 drawing.

To me a flag formation is a trend reversal followed by a skip of 5.

If you look closely and think outside of the box you will be able to cash in on the upside down flag formation.

Check your history and see how many upside down flag formations have occurred in your game.

Number 9 may be playing out. Scroll up and you will see how busy it was before skipping seven drawings.

Number 22 may be flag formation off by one.

Number 14 I would'nt touch until it does a hit.

Great idea!

I got some doubts. As to number 3 you think it's great . To me it seems on the verge of playing only- 2 games past perfect double bottom. With no. 8 you may be right. I do not know. With number 9 I cannot see flag formation pattern. Yes 6 x double bottoms of 3, skipped 7 games and then hit.

As to longshot number I would say 14 will hit.

Look at your Poland Mini Lotto 5/42 game.

Track how often the skips of 20 and above. See how often they hit. Yes the lower skips occur the most but if you look at the other end of the spectrum you'll see where there is a lot of activity happening at the same time.

Right now there are only 4 numbers that are out with 20 or more skips. Which one do you think will hit next?

Thanks for your insight and interest as well as valuable suggestions. Funny thing is that lotto 5/42 despite lower odds is much harder to hit. The downside is higher cost of playing a bet. I'll have a try looking at lowest skips and checking what I can figure out.

Sorry, I was looking at the Poland Mini Lotto 5/42 not the Poland Lotto 6/49.

For the Poland Lotto 6/49 I would recommend you use the skips of 0 and 1 as your power numbers. Why? Because if you set your L10 to 2 you will see that almost all of the drawings had a hit with quite a few 2's.

If you set the L10 to 3 even more. Look at your skip patterns. Study them.

I notice in almost all of the lotteries that the skip patterns of 0-0-1 and 0-1-1 has a habit of occuring a lot. Check it out a... [ More ]

Yes, you are right. In last 16 draws there was 9 repeats, but still we have 6 numbers to choose if we want to wheel with 1 power and 15 combinations if we hope for double repeater.

Oh contraire!! Go to Chart B. Press F5. Type in 1. Press Enter.

Notice that your L10 is now 1. Your L1 is telling you how many numbers hit from the last drawing. Look at your screen, you will notice that there are 16 drawings per screen. Out of the 16 drawings how many drawings had one or two numbers repeat in the next drawing? On average it's almost 8 to 11 drawings.

In order to make sure that all of my numbers are used, what I decided to do is, auto fill the whole chart then replace the first three numbers with my power numbers then fill in the three empty blanks with the numbers that were in A-B-C. Or I could just input all of the numbers myself after weighing what numbers would end up together once wheeled. But that's a discussion for another time.

To post the predictions for the Poland Mini Lotto 5/42 I used wheel number 54042-3 which wheels 42 numbers with 3 power numbers. I found a problem I manually put in my 3 power numbers then I let the computer fill in the rest in random order. The problem I encountered is this, three of the combinations had repeat numbers.

EX: 03-06-29-03-12 03-06-29-06-36 03-06-29-13-29

Yes I agree the software is just a tool and if you master that tool it can produce results are you talking about Data Solutions LottoPro 2010?? I don't use it for the lotto games only for analysis in the daily games the wheels are good but the filtering is seriously lacking and as for Lottery Director that's another excellent program I use too have it when it was on 3.5 disk but lost it so I'm gonna get it on CD soon.

Thanks Perdue. The fact is most of the time there are no zeros and I end up with so far too many numbers to play. You are right quite often a double bottom comes with a slip of even 2 numbers. Again the same problem of selection whicg one to put out of the pool. Hard to imagine for me skimming the paring down the pool to 16 numbers for 6/49.

Look at your Games out View of History Chart B or your Skips Due Chart, to see if a skip of 10 has occurred in the last five drawings.

Gail recommends reading this chart for each of the last 5-6-7-8-9-10 drawings to see which skip keep appearing at the top.

Remember the smallest skips repeats the most.

As stated on page 59, I would play the on skip 7 skip 8 skip 9 or skip 10 anticipating a hit on one of these skips.

Remember the paragraph at the end of page 57, When I say you can anticipate, assume, expect, or predict something, what I really mean is that you should play it, bet on it, expect it to happen. Anticipate means to BE ON IT, so when it happens you can win with it.

I apply this rule to the flag formation and the bottoms.

Yes, I would be anticipating the double bottom to occur. In your example it didn't happen yet. Keep in mind she also says it can be off by 1 so that second skip period doesn't necessarily have to be exact. Again, this is where the game's history is really important. In my 6/49 game looking for a double bottom can be a waste of time and a waste of number space, but in my 5/40 game they are a lot more reliable. I would have to say yes 3/5, when i first got her filtering full wheel generator, i used diamond palaces excel sheet lock and load to test things out.

There was one time that I have matched 5/6 in washington's lotto this year, really surprised. Youu know i must say her filtering full wheel generator works alot better than LottPro. I also use Lottery director to do a comparison.
