To crack it one must stay aware of the current odds, total balls for both white ball and power ball! Like RJOH said.

When Florida joined PowerBall it became a 5/59 + 1/39 game. There are 5,006,386 possible combinations of 5 in 59 numbers. So now PB has 5,006,386 x 39 = 195,249,054 combinations. You need to update your data.

Pumpi,

The top matrix on a Powerball playslip has 59 numbers now, not 55. So it's not hitting 5/55 anymore, it's 5/59.

There are 39 Powerball numbers (bonus balls), not 46.

There are 5,138,133 combinations for the top matrix.

Powerball has 195,249,054 combinations.

not trying to brag here i could be wrong [you see i never did or do specialized on Powerball/MegaMillions/BigGame] but Powerball itself has like: 4 million combinations those 4 million combinations are repeated: 46 times due to the bonus ball...there are combinations that are alike but got different bonus balls..

4 million x 46 bonus balls = 184 million as in 184 million combinations...

so the key is figuring out the bonus ball...

A Pick5/55 has = 3.7 million combinations they are just
