			<description><![CDATA[<p>Dumb move by the SA. They could&#x27;ve done a lot of good and helped a lot of people with that money. How do they know that a lot of the money thrown in their kettles doesn&#x27;t come from gamblers? To remain so holier-than-thou maybe they should require everyone who donates to sign a form swearing that their donation didn&#x27;t come from gambling proceeds or shady business deals or robbing convenience stores. What a ridiculous decision that was.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>Raveb62,<br /><br />Well, I&#x27;m not an activist for one thing, for another, I know that in these kind of situations you&#x27;re not going to change beaurecrats minds.<br /><br />When I worked in casinos one of the river boats tried to give the food the restaurant didn&#x27;t use everyday to a church -run food pantry. The food was still good but the restaurant couldn;t keep it to sell.<br /><br />The churches that ran the food pantry told the casino, No thanks, not coming from you guys.</p>]]></description>

I think most people are familair with their thrift stores and simply think of them as a run of the mill charity, without considering that the name wasn&#x27;t chosen at random. Since they&#x27;re opposed to gambling it would clearly be hypocritical to accept a donation of gambling proceeds. I know them as shopping mall bell ringers and second hand item collectors....I think the answer is not as simple as yes and no....A 10 million dollar donation from a lottery winner that wants no fan fair and publicity is different from one who wants to shout it to the stars....You might lose more than you gain with the latter.</p>]]></description>
