I definitly agree with four4me. I use to get that alot from my husband. I'd say, is that so? He has since stpped saying it after actually witnessing the repeats and hitting on one himself.

The stuff like better chances of getting hit by lightning from people who don't play is a given,.....

If you don't like what's on the TV you can always change the channel.

I've had lottery clerks comment when i have played a number that may have came out the drawing before like 613 might have came out midday today and i would play 316 for the evening draw because i saw it in a workout or thought the number might repeat and so on.

They would say stuff like no way that numbers going to come out again today. While i will agree it's a slim chance but numbers do repeat and a few times i got lucky by betting a previous number in the next draw.

A few more,

Never play all odd numbers

Never play all even numbers

Never play all low numbers

Never play all high numbers

Anyone who tracks the games has seen all of these proven to be very inaccurate.

For pick5/pick6 type games, advice like don't play consecutives indicates someone who can't do the math or backtest very well.

When someone posts an idea, I look for supporting data to go with it.

Hmmm, some of that advice wouldn't be bad if properly qualified. The more consecutive numbers you play the smaller the population they represent. If you wait until the last minute to play you may not get to for various reasons including the P-3 number being over subscribed or the machine being down, etc.

I think the worst advise is to play only the hot numbers like you get from Professor Jones, or a blend of hottest and coldest like EOL used to recommend. Works about as often as playing fo... [ More ]

Almost all the advice I've ever read was bad but the one that stands out is Don't play birthday numbers or all low numbers because if you win the jackpot, you may have to share it with others .

Since I have never won any part of a jackpot, I would be happy to share one.
