That is a excellent idea--I wish the CA Lottery would do that--it would attract a lot of new lottery players into the mix!! And you were not a wimp with $20.00; next time you may have more to money to play with--GOOD LUCK TO YOU

Remind me of lottery booth at the Taste of Chicago this year where they had a promotion where if you spent $30 or so, you get to spin the wheel for prizes. Top prize was $250. Didn't do it because with the wife at time but maybe next year.

The only time I've seen an all lottery payer gathering is at the state fair at the lottery tent.

As for playing $1 or $20 or $200-$400, a guy in our casino used to sy Everyone bets the same amount, not the same money amount, but the amount it takes to give them a thrill.

Thursday morning I went to the Lottery district office for the first time. It was the last day of a promotion the FLA Lottery was having where for every $10 you spent you got a chance to play a Plinko board for prizes. The place is similar to any other govt. office in that you take a number then sit down and wait, sometimes for hours. What's different, of course, is that everybody there has that glint in the eye, or I should say, $ signs.

It was the first time I'd been in a place with nothing... [ More ]
