I know the state MI has been doing this for years, cut off time well before the actual drawing of evening games on the same day.

However, from some others I have chatted with in other states, their states do allow the players to purchase their tickets right up until a minute or so right when the drawing takes place.

I will contact the MI Lottery and ask this question and see what their reply is.

I would guess they're just being overly cautious. There have been law suits about people playing numbers at the last minute and they turned out to be winning numbers but the machine printed them out for the next day. They're probably just trying to keep that from happening.

I think Tennessee shuts off Powerball sales a half hour before the drawing.

I Have asked that same question, perhaps it's to help keep it fair , so no one can say the state helped someone cheat.

Just Curious...and i know this has been going on for a long....time

Why does MFEMFEMF Lottery retailers terminals close at 7:08pm for the evening drawings of the same day; when the drawing for some games of the same evening aren't broadcasted to the public until 7:29pm??

I would like to know... What is taking place during that 21 Min. window of time....
