I don't see anything strange at all. The only thing strange is the fact that the numbers look bias because they are consecutive. Big deal.

I had an argument with a friend of mine about this a while back. He claimed that 1-2-3-4-5 don't have the same chance as coming out as other combos. Obviously he has no clue.

My return argument was the following.

They are about $16,000 richer? lol. I don't know. Yeah, I'm sure a lot of them were probably disappointed to have to split the jackpot, but I think if people choose consecutive numbers to play and the line comes out, they shouldn't be too shocked that they will probably have to split the jackpot with quite a few people.

Let's just say, for the sake of discussion only, that we were in a once upon a time (fairy tale) situation with the lottery and the numbers weren't random.

So a $145,728 jackpot gets split 9 ways and reduces to $16,192 each for the 9 people who cracked the code so to speak. In the long run, what good do it do them?

..and having won a jackpot, they each lived happily ever after with their $16,192...

That would be 35 lines to cover them all.

Since most results have numbers with a difference of 1 or 2, there would be

some 2 number wins, 5 times.

4 in a row has never happened and now 5 in a row show up, with 9 winners?
