I joked about that to a person that ran a computer bulletin board about 25 years ago (exec-pc).

He was also setting up one of the first internet systems too...

Well, he sold it for $24 million I believe. Wasn't bad for somebody who started it in his basement..

I got that a couple times the other day. It scared me, because I don't have AOL, either. I thought it was something else on my computer doing it. One minute I was looking at something, and the next I saw a screen that said AOL . lol It sure had me wondering.

Same here, in fact I had that a few times. Did a couple of scans on my comp to make sure it wasnt infected. Found a malware problem but I dont think it was related especially seeing as others ran into the problem as well.

Strange part for me is Im not with AOL.

Last week somtime AOL was on my computer. i couldn't get in to LP unless I gave my user name and password. I did but I still couldn't get in coz I didn't have a CDID code number. I almost thought it was good bye LP but it wasn't there rhe nexr day
