nah i don't hate. i mean, even if i won a ridiculous amount, i wouldn't go all MTV cribs and start blowing my cash. would i love to? sure, but i would never due to the sheer irresponsibility of it. so when someone else does,in a sense i have this good for you feeling because i don't have it in me to do what they do. so i guess i don't consider what they're doing as throwing it away . some experiences are priceless

We all say, if I won, I would invest it, I wouldn't waste it etc... I would like to believe I would be constructive with any win. However, people do change when they get sudden riches, from a lottery win or inheritance. If and when I win, I hope I will still keep my feet on the ground.

I would rather see a poor/middle class citizen blow through a massive windfall buying silly items then have a crooked charity/organization steal it all...Imagine how you would feel giving most of your windfall away to say the people of Haiti only to find out it never really got to them...

Cynthia Stafford did that. She bought a Poochie (sp?) alligator hand bag. she even gave 1$mill to the Geffen playhouse. I hate to say it, but I think she will end up broke. Remember, she shared that 112m with her brother and father. divide that amount by 3, cut half for cash payout and 25% in taxes.

I remember this lady. Yes, she spent a lot of $$ on purses, but if you read the rest of her story, she went out and started a charity that helps lots of inner city kids and went out and started her own record company as well.

She did what I feel all of us would do with her winnings. Put a chunk of it in a go crazy account and spent on whatever she wanted. Then, she started working on what meant most to her, helping kids and families and started her own business.

If someone is stupid enough to blow their jackpot...then so be it, I do get upset in general when I see horrible people who have everything just being bad with money...but that is life. There is always gonna be someone with way more than what you got and one can't help but feel they deserve better than what they have...expecially when one has close to nothing.

this is true but when you are struggling to feed your family and you see people winning big and spend $200,000 on purses it's hard not to get a little upset. I forget the name of the purse lady, but she claims she wrote a dollar amount on a piece of paper, stuck it under the pillow and then she won exactly that much $$$. yeah right.

I could help. When I see people that hit it big and take it for granted. Good fortune doesn't strike

everyone, but when It does hit for me I will make the best of it. Lesson learn.
