I'm sure this is out there somewhere, but I haven't seen it yet. When I saw the pretty new maps on the Powerball and Mega Millions sites, showing most of the states playing each game, I wanted to see the new population figures. The previous figures were pointed out in news stories, but I haven't seen the new ones. I made a chart, using the Census web site figures, except for the Virgin Islands, for which I used CIA Factbook figures, and calculating the totals.

i got 5 qp's in nj yesterday megamillions,and on the ticket it said jan.31st nj will sell both pb,and mm tickets in nj.i wonder if other states willstart that now that they need more revenue.

sorry newcomers mega millions was hit tonight for 144 million no new state will get the big one shich is a good thing I don't think it woulda been fair for a new state to get it right away. I'm hoping powerball gets hit so a newcomer doesn't have a chance at it.

I'm wondering about that, too. I don't know if it's rolled yet, but in the drawing video John Crow said it would go to 168 if there's no winner, which, as you said, is a normal increase. Maybe they don't yet know how to model the expected ticket sales and increases in jackpots, since the circumstances are quite different. I'm waiting to see if MM rolls tonite and if so by how much. Normally it would increase from 144M to about 168M. I'm wondering how high the next jackpot will be...

with about both semi-high, we could have 2 large jackpots in no time at all come along

jackpots already startin to roll the high 100 range

throwing gas on the fire of these jackpots come feb with all these new states and we could see these 100m range jackpots pop up to 300 in notime at all,
