			<description><![CDATA[<p>I&#x27;m sure this is out there somewhere, but I haven&#x27;t seen it yet. When I saw the pretty new maps on the Powerball and Mega Millions sites, showing most of the states playing each game, I wanted to see the new population figures. The previous figures were pointed out in news stories, but I haven&#x27;t seen the new ones. I don&#x27;t know if it&#x27;s rolled yet, but in the drawing video John Crow said it would go to 168 if there&#x27;s no winner, which, as you said, is a normal increase. Maybe they don&#x27;t yet know how to model the expected ticket sales and increases in jackpots, since the circumstances are quite different. Having both games expand this much, and competing in the same states, is different from adding one state where only that game is played.
