I always go to Publix supermarket to cash tix. That's where I cashed my 3 grand. I found out the hard way on my very first win when I first moved to Florida. After trying to cash a 500 win at a Circle K, with the clerk giving me a money order, and had to cash it at Publix anyways....lol, I decided to just go to Publix. Only one time I had trouble when she said she didn't have 500 bucks yet. It was early in the day. I asked her if she could go through the cash registers to gather the 500 bucks, w... [ More ]

But if you want it for midday and evening you will get two tickets.

So suppose you played 377 for a week midday and evening an 377 came out twice midday for a dollar straight will they treat it as one ticket for separate draws or combine the win amount at 1000 dollars and force you to pay tax.

hence i want separate tickets.

It's ridiculous to get the same numb... [ More ]

Yes, Ohio has these EZ Play games, they are printed out like playing an instant ticket. I'd imagine you are talking about online games like pick 3, 4, etc.

The EZ Play games are about 8 to 10 inches long depending on the game. And since they are like playing an instant game, I'd say more than 75% are losers any ways. Sometimes I'm at the store and some people buy 10 or more of these tickets and they are long! And yes, a waist of paper on the online gaming rolls.

But the most wasted amount... [ More ]

Excellent point! They save on paper work by not taxing those individual tix. It is costlier for the state to PAY the salaries of state tax collectors than the time it takes to chase down the little $600 (less than) taxables. The state would rather just give you the money to spend on the local economy or re-gamble the money.

But these SOB statists are a petty greedy bunch, remember when Bonus Match 5 was taxes paid ?

Four4me is correct. When I lived in NY years ago, I used to specifically ask the clerk to seperate multiple cash tickets/numbers. If you didn't ask, they'd put the all the sets of numbers on one ticket by default, thereby having you claim the winning tickets at the lottery office, which deducts taxes, leaving the player with a smaller win.

I did this myself. I claimed ALL 3,000 bucks playing cash 3 with 6 tickets. The number was 984.

Definitely not. At least not until later this year. Currently and for many previous years, Hoosier Lottery retailers use the Integra lottery terminals which print in very small text. The tickets we have are very plain. They're not graphical like a lot of other state lotteries are. Later this year, the Hoosier Lottery will be switching to Scientific Games Wave lottery terminals. I don't know how much more paper will be used then.

I've noticed that Minnesota wastes paper on Pick 3 tickets. Instead of printing all of the played numbers on one ticket, they print A-NEW-TICKET-FOR-EVERY-SINGLE-ONE-OF-MY-PLAYS; even though I handed them a single play slip. They don't do it for the other games though; you'd think they could magically program the terminal to spit out one ticket.

I know Wisconsin does not do this, I hand the clerk one play slip, I get one back with all my plays on it.
