Um, suggestions go in the Suggestions forum. Suggestions about the Web site are not Lottery Discussions (the name of the forum it was previously in).

I don't organize the forums according the the amount of traffic a person thinks they will get by sticking their topic in a particular forum. I doubt you'll find any forum on the Internet with that approach.

If there was an open forum there would be heated posts about religion and politics among other things.

Todd created this site to be lottery related.

He created a blog site where you can post just about anything as long as it's within the rules.

There were times people posted non lottery related subjects they may have started out fine but soon became topic shift or thread shift bantering, hollering out loud bashing each other stuff like that, then the threads have to be monitored, with a... [ More ]

I respect everyone who responded negatively to the proposal in this topic and their opinions but it raises a question in my mind.

If this off topic banter is something you don't like seeing; what would be the harm of having a forum for it where you could choose to avoid it?

I don't have a mind for numbers per se and don't particularly enjoy reading posts about mathematical equations and possibilities and such but I can't imagine objecting to a forum for that purpose just because I don't en... [ More ]

I would like to see a forum dedicated to Discussion of the Numbers

Many of the threads have people throwing out numbers with no backup, no reason not even a why.

And mind you there is nothing wrong that style not everyone wants to share how they came up thier set of numbers

I actually see that kind of discussion as still in the lottery category. But Youre right about the mystical stuff. I don't visit it much because of that. I could very well be misunderstanding all this but, I thought that's what the Mystical part of the forum is for. Also, there seems to be a live chat available to discuss whatever you want I suppose. I don't see what developing a specific forum to discuss generic topics will accomplish. I personally like talking lotto. I mean, this is the LOTTERY POST.

True, it's common on any board for threads to get hijacked .

It's pretty common here though that even the greatest discussions lose their steam because they get ignored or pushed aside when any one mentions I have a system .

87,352 members here as of this morning, of course they don't all post, but for as many here claiming to have s sytem and as many jackpots hit - oh wait, there haven't been any - speaks volumes.

A thread gets started people respond then someone tells a joke or something and someone thens response to that instead of the original thread. We already have non related forums here, its just unofficial . Id rather talk about lottery related topics here. There are many sites around the web for general topics. Todd would need 24 hour monitoring on an all topics forum. I visit news article comment daily and what I see there is horrendous. With comments I have seen on news articles about the President and washington politics you will have the feds monitoring this site 24/7. That would include the secret service.

I believe this has been brought up a couple times before and Todd has said no. It would mean a lot of extra work for him and my guess is it would be a hassel. People get heated when the topics of religion, politics, etc. get brought up (all you have to do is check out some of the past new stories and read the comments when politics gets brought into the conversation) and I really doubt he wants to spend his extra time dealing with that. As joker said, items in blogs tend to get buried.

And quite often people post something non-lotto and are told to blog it.

If there is an Anything Goes forum created and you don't want to participate no one is going to male you.

Most people on boards click on Active Topics, New Posts, whatever it may be called on any board and that's about as far as they go.

The Mystical forum like others are prediction and interpretation forums. It is what it is. Maybe the non-lottery forum will fill in the gaps, and someone will post a Mystical topic which will make folks engage in a conversation, rather than only dream interpretations.

But since you had the chutzpah to bring this up I have to mention maybe splitting the Mystical forum into Things Mystical and Dream Number Requests.

Talk about topics getting buried. Yeah, I know, you can search for your own threads, and such, but anything that isn't a dream requests gets buried so fast that anyone clicking on active topics just isn't going to see them.

I know the blogs are used for this, but in a relatively short time, the blog is pushed out by new entries . Comments are made, but soon disappear along with the blog.

Maybe Todd may consider if the poll numbers are highly in favor of it.

I think that this may be a new dimension that LP hasn't seen yet. Maybe it's time......lol
