JB you say you are new to Excel, I may not understand your question in which case ask again.

the formula in cell D tells Excell to add 5 (mirrow) to the value in cell A, likewise cell E adds 5 to the value in B etc

the mod at the beginning and the 10 at the end of the formula in cells DEF tell Excell what the maximum value can be.

once you have these formulas entered you don't do anything else with them. you only see the result.

when you change any value, excel will recalculate, if r... [ More ]

Somehow I knew it couldnt be that simple LOL

Now if this isnt what your asking, maybe we better let one of the pros answer..

If you just copy your formula it will automatically change the cell reference to appropriate row.

Can anyone give me a step by step on how to input Ravens description below?..I just got excel the other day and was specifically interested in this particular thread.Because inevitably,I want to assign my own values to pairs/digits and this is a good starting point.

In cell d2: =mod(a2+5,10), In cell e2: =mod(b2+5,10), In cell f2: =mod(c2+5,10)

Source:

cell a2=7, cell b2=5, cell c2=8

Result:

cell d2=2, cell e2=0, cell f2=3
