What's your theory about New Scratchers??

I have seen many good size winners in the first few books of new scratch off tickets. From the way i see it, they put decent winners in there, so the player keeps on playing. Largest from the first book of a ticket was $10k, on number 21 ( out of 50 ).

When a new game comes out i.e. the Virginia new $5 million dollar club ($20 dollar scratcher) its just a waste of time and money thinking there going to instantly give someone $1 or $5 million off the bat to promote the new game....

The Real Truth??? When a big new game comes out the first batchs will be nothing but short change

I am starting to think when a new scratcher is introduced, the most people will get is a break-even ticket or perhaps a couple of dollars above that. In my personal expereinces it seems like the only time I scratched big (or at least what I considered big $200) it was when a game had been out for at least 2 months.

I know that there may be somewhere here and there that may luck up and have a modest win, on new scratch offs, but I think the lottery kinda makes sure they make so much money back... [ More ]
