The annuity is a tax sheltered investment that pays about 5% per annum, you would be hard press to make wise investment choices for so much money that would pay better in after tax investments. Your annual check should be plenty for a good lifestyle plus enough to do some dollar cost averaging investments but should you overspend, it should be possible to secure a personal loan or mortgage till the next annual

I wouldn't either!

I have no idea how big a chunk these companies would take but I would explore other options such as a loan or even racking up credit cards and then paying them IN FULL when the next annuity check arrived. And there's the option of getting a job assuming I'm not working anymore.

Ok a sugar daddy might work at this point hahahahaha

. One needs to make sure whether or not they want cash or the annuity in the beginning. This way, they can be happy with their decision in the first place and can avoid having to cash out the annuity later and losing money on it.
