A large percentage of baseball games are decided by one run. The run line was a marketing idea cooked up by Vegas sports books to introduce a pointspread to baseball.

Baseball is traditionally a money line bet, + 1.25, - 1.45, etc...

the beauty of it is all you have to do that way is pick the winner, no points, no run line, and in baseball the underdog wins quite often.

It is with very little difficulty that i am discontinuing my X-TREME MLB SYSTEM . After 7 full play days i find myself -$1244.00 and i just cannot see it improving soon enough to suit me.

I am going to the system that put big $$$ in my pkt last year!

YTD -$1244

Philadelphia -260 = $520/$200 /// St Louis -215 = $430/$200 /// Detroit -185 = $370/$200 /// Tampa Bay -140 = $280/$200.........I placed these bets about 11 a.m. but just got busy and forgot to post here.

Hey AC !! I would have been surprised if you would have profited on the NBA re that scenario. Having said that i will tell u that i am in 11th place in the NBA contest @ Covers.com out of 9200 contestants last i checked. I play every game to go under and if i had done that the first 5 weeks of the season i would be in top 3 for sure.

As for my MLB system...most of the 1.5 wagers on the favs are plus so that explains why the units are not as high say as if i were betting m/l instead. I a... [ More ]

billy I got a bit of luck last night myself and hit 350.00 on the cash 3..Going to the OTB in Jamestown and see what I can do??...I'm not a big better and try to hit a bunch with a little bit..My Tigers are looking good so far but they have only played in thier division and 4 games...Long season..Good luck to everyone on this page..

Thanks for the thread, enjoying watching to see where it ends. Just one question - are you using any type of wagering system? If your 14-21 and only down 225 you must be changing up your bets - not betting equally on every game. Are you using a betting system or just going by your gut.

Years ago my friends and I did something similar with the NBA - bet the home team when favored by more than 5 and bet the dog @ 2.5 or less. For half a season we were cleaning up and looked unsto... [ More ]

Yeah I am big Tiger fan here and they will be good in thier division I hope..Went to my first game in Briggs Stadium at the time in 1949 when I was nine years old with my grandfather..Man at that age what a thrill that was..Good luck to you and billy this year cause like billy says baseball is tough to bet on..Good luck..

HEY TIGGS!!!...thanks for the kind words. I do research daily, and baseball is the hardest, but having said that, it is the most lucrative sport i bet on, (altho Soccer is almost as lucrative) and that is mainly due to the length of the season.

After much research, i am running the following system daily during MLB's regular 162 game season.

All favorites are -1 1/2 (in other words need to win by 2 runs). All my bets are either $100 to win ??? OR ??? to win $100.

04/04 Boston beat NYY 9-7..+165.00

I will try and post daily.
