For questions about moderation of the site, you can PM me directly, but please don't post this kind of off-topic post in the forums. Only lottery-related stuff.

Naturally, anyone who has a post removed has the potential to be upset. However, if they followed the rules, the post would normally not be removed. I have no desire to go around removing posts, but I will always do so if they violate the rules.

Only the owner or moderators of this web site can delete, edit, omit, lock, or remove a topic, post, blog etc. Usually it would be because of spam or inappropriate material.

Submitting a link that references to or coincides with spam will almost certainly be deleted.

I replied to that topic also but was almost wary of my reply because the topic or body of the post referenced to Gail Howard.

I saw it too Want to win the lottery read this first and submitted a message on the article linked to, now I'll never know if it was approved as I didn't save the link.

It was supposedly from the Columbia student newspaper with some quotes from GH and a professor who tried to blow off using lottery systems.

I'm kinda surprised it went away considering Amazing Grace was the poster, not some newbie.

Yeah it was deleted...my replies weren't in recent posts.

The topic was about randomness of the lottery and how lotteries make sure it stays random...I think.

or maybe that was something else.

If you posted to the missing thread and you check your recent posts and it still exists in another forum, you will see where it went. However if it was deleted, there will be no trace of you ever posting to it.

Yeah, I saw that, too. I believe there's a misappropriation of information involved...possibly compromising the integrity of LP. Probably should've gotten permission first. Just my .02.
