The clerk told me the entire city (San Jose) was down.

Was it just the one local liquor store you went too that it was down? Sometimes they could be out of commisson and then another store is fine--If it was the entire CA Lottery System that was down, no one in the entire state of CA could purchase a ticket. Perhaps you should have tried several other lottery outlets to be sure you were able to get your tickets on time. Good Luck to you

The system where I live in San Jose is down. I went into my local liquor store and the clerk there told me it has been down since noon time.
