1- WOW-- you can afford to spend $600. a drawing?

2- Make sure you use some kind of system and I am referring to pattern analysis, apprehending the numbers that pattern(s) suggest MIGHT come in or hit (research my post history);

3- If you want to use a wheel, do so but as I've said before, A wheel is only as good as the numbers you put INTO the wheel! ;

im one of the people thats super pissed of with the sweet million i spend about 600 bucks a drawing and barely get 4 numbers i have gotten 5 numbers twice since playing sweet million.I think they need to make it like the lotto where for 1 buck you get two lines of numbers or have a special buy 5 bucks and get 5 free.This game suppose to have the best odds but we arent winning anything in this game.Yesterday i spent 200 bucks on the mega millions to get 7 dollars back.All lottery games sucks but

Although I doubt there were very many tickets sold that had a line on them where the exact same set of six numbers was sold elsewhere in The State of New York.

- You'd be suprised. Think of it like this, once 5 percent of the possible combos are sold, there is a 1 in 20 chance that your ticket matches someones elses.

I sent an e-mail to The NY Lottery and asked them what was the total number of lines/games sold for the 8/18/2011 Sweet Million drawing. Their answer was 358,957. (Total sales in dollars was $358,957)

That's a little more than 9% of the total possible number of lines/games that could be sold, which is 3,838,380. That means 91% of the possible number of lines that could be sold, went unsold. Right Jacal, I didnt think about Mega.... probably because I dont pay any attention to it, and I dont play it at all. It's bad enough that I play PB. But in reality, I dont play PB all that much. Jacal, I never play PB, without buying the Powerplay. I've seen too many $200,000 second place PB winners. Not spending that extra buck for the Powerplay cost those winners $800,000.

I disagree about the odds being the same as 1st place for SM. They're not the same. PB's odds are 2 million to 1 longer. 5.1 million to 1 for 2nd place PB, vs 3.1 to 1 for 1st place SM. But hey, what's a couple million between friends

I have to pay an additonal $200 a month for the 15 yr mortgage...but with the lowered interest rate and getting rid of 8 years of payments...going from 23 yrs (time remaining on the 30 yr.) to 15 yrs...the savings is about $65 grand (even with the closing costs because the bank is returning 1% cash back each year for the life of the mortgage so that money will eventually pay for the closing costs I paid upfront)...most people don't want to pay an increased monthly payment...they want to get anot... I am wondering if we will see a real estate BOOM in about 5-10 years from all the EQUITY eveyone has GAINED over the last couple of years. For example someone buys a foreclosed home for cash for $50k puts $20k in it and in 5 years (when the market is back) sells it for $120-$150 - They doubled thier money.

If Mom had five Power Ball or Mega Millions numbers with the multiplier instead of SM she would have won the million...the odds are the same for a five number win on MM and PB and a 6 number win on Sweet Million....but it costs an extra dollar to play the multiplier.

i think im one of the most hardcore players who play sweet million.I play on average about 300 bucks a drawing just today i put 1100 in todays drawing for the hell of it.I get 4 numbers atleast 5 times a drawing and never had 5 numbers before.I hope i can atleast get close to winning this.I have stopped playing take 5 because i feel i barely get 3 numbers which is frustrating.Good luck to all the sweet million players.

Last nites SM numbers pretty well fit the profile of what a set of numbers should look like.

3 odd, 3 even, sum was 125, half from the low numbers and half from the high numbers. Yet there was no JP winner again. A set of numbers like that should have produced a JP winner. It probably would have, if The NY Lottery could sell enough SM tickets, which they cant and dont.

I think I would. Jersey's Pick 6 has 49 numbers, and starts at 2 million, it only moves up very slowly.

So I'd rather have a game with odds twice as about a little more than 3 times better, with a 1 million payout.

Just my two cents, but I usually stick to cash 5 games for the higher odds, I'll venture into some QPs for Pick 6 cuz hey, who doesn't want to be a millionaire.

I havent seen too many of those machines here in The Hudson Valley. I had heard about them a few weeks ago, but hadnt seen any. I was surprised I saw one in that Sunoco station. The station isnt near a lot of commercial stores in a populated area, it's kind of off the beaten path. I would have thought I'd have seen one in a more populated area.

But your right, they dispense QP's only. I'm not big on QP's, so I doubt I'll use the machine all that much.

They have them in all the Price Chopper supermarts up here in Albany area a few months ago and yes they are convienient per say but it only spits out quick picks. You still have to see the clerk to play those personal picks but yeah they are cool and handy if you are in a hurry. Gonna try to spank that Take 5 game tonite that is my favorite game. But we aint alone, nobody else does either.

They cant sell enough tickets to produce a JP winner. Last winner was in February. It was that kid who played minor league baseball for The Cleveland Indians. But they cut him, so he aint even doin that. At least he's got maor league money.......... He said he was gonna buy his mother a house.

The NEW YORK LOTTERY is having problem selling enough sweet million tickets.I think i have the answer, I played $5 quick pick for thursday april 14, 2011 drawing and i have the 39 three times on my ticket and the 26 twice.I noticed that these numbers came out on the 4/11/2011 drawing.I spent $5 and 3 of my combinations are not good.It will be a miracle if the 26 and 39 come out again.I feel that it is true when they say that your best odds are on your first ticket.IT MAKES NO SENSE TO BUY MORE T... Not only did 24 and 25 come out last Thursday, so did 19!!

Two numbers repeating on the next drawing is bad enough, but three? Fageddabowdit!!

To make matters worse, 24 came out on April 4th, so that'd be a three-peat for 24 if it came out again tonite. Aint gonna happen. That's why QP's suck.

The problem with 24 and 25 is that they came out in last Thursday's drawing, and it's rare that two numbers repeat on the next draw. I didn't play last Thursday, but I always play 1-5-22-23-25-38, it's a combo of family birthdays, so I missed out on three bucks because 22, 25, and 38 came out on Thursday, but I probably would have lost money anyway because I stay away from these numbers on other lines for the most part when I play for 5 bucks, with a $2 deficit after I won the $3. I dont track Sweet Million numbers, I just buy QP's.

Because I dont analyze SM numbers, I cant really complain, but I'm gonna do it anyway.

I went down to Woodbury Commons today to get a few items that had some good sales goin on. I was driving home and I saw this gas station with a lot of lottery flags and banners flappin in the breeze, so I pulled in.

I got two dollars QP SM.

This morning I went to a Mobil station in the Bronx to get my Powerball ticket for Wednesday, and they are giving extra money to anyone who wins the Pick 3. If the winner gets $250, they will add $25, I didn't see the other amounts, I never saw anything like that in my entire life of lottery playing

I was just getting my SM list of hot and cold numbers and saw your post, GiveFive, I have been so busy lately, got relatives coming in from the south, I offered my house as their NY hotel, but they want to stay in NYC. Well since I hit for 21 bucks last nite in Take5, I stopped at a gas station today and cashed my ticket in. I got $6.00QP for tonites SM, and took $15.00 in cash.

Some of the QP's looked OK, but I noticed one or two lines with three single digit numbers... 5, 8, 9... or somethin like that.... didnt look good at all to me.

Yesterday I bought my MM tickets in a Mobil station and Hess station in da Bronx, and I got my PB tickets for tonight in those stations also, the ticket from Mobil station was the closest one, it had the same number groups, but not the correct numbers, just like my SM picks (lol). I wasn't going to go to the Bronx, but when I was on the Hutch Pkwy in Westchester going south, a radio host on that Rush Limbaugh station said he was down at the Castle Hill store in da Bronx yeste... Not only did I see it, but I work a mile down Route 52 from it. It's a Mobil station.

I've bought a few tickets there. Last time I was there, I ran into an old friend (Joe) that I hadn't seen in years. He told me a mutal friend of ours (a guy who was an usher in my wedding) had died of throat cancer last year. I havent seen the guy who died in years. Nice going, kapla, you were correct, some of the cold/overdue numbers showed up last night like 7, 32, 37 (rest of winners 14,23,26),

I leaned more toward the hot/recent drawn numbers and it cost me, on one line I had the correct number groups but the wrong numbers in them with the exception of 26 (6,13,21,26,30,39).

Thrifty, I looked at your blog several days ago, it's awesome, and it made me feel lucky by reading it!

The SM numbers last night were not the usual number group patterns that come out with 4 numbers in the 20's drawn, I didn't have any winning lines.

Well, on to MM tonight. I'm in a MM pool but want to pick a few lines and use the multiplier, the pooled tickets don't have the multiplier on them.

WOW!!! Last night you had to be playing the 20's to hit on Take 5 or SweetMillions! - lucky for me I had a QP on Take 5 that caught a FP and a QP on SM that caught 4 out of 6-- $40!!

Oh and yea GiveFive- I did the same thing on a QP for Mega last Friday, Won $7 but forgot the megaplier and missed $28

Funny. I played my picks for 3/14/11 the very same day and the very same store(located in Wantagh NY) the winner came from. I thought it was me when I read the location. One of the most busy stores you will find. I buy QP's there every draw.
