known for her roles as Vivian Cavender Harmon on Maude, Fran Crowley on Mama's Family

and Blanche Devereaux on The Golden Girls, a role that won her an Emmy Award.

Eddi-Rue McClanahan was her birth name. She was 76 years old.

She was hilarious in her roles! She was 76 years old and died of a massive stroke

in New York City. Rest in Peace, Rue.
