The Tennessee Lottery will start selling tickets to the multi-stateMega Millions game early next year and eliminate the in-state LottoPlus game.

Adding Mega Millions, which is similar to Powerball, is expected toboost profits

I read somewhere (when they were making powerball and mega millions available for all states) that they were considering a regional jackpot game. I believe the statement came from Tennessee but I can't remember exactly where I read it. There were a lot of articles being released from PB and MM along with press releases from individual states at the time so it is likely lost somewhere in the cyberspace archive. We played Lotto South when Kentucky had it. Never won much, but it was fun playing it.

If it was to comeback, would it be competing with Powerball and Mega Millions since now both are available in many states?

Illinois has a Win for Life $2 scratcher, it's been part of the Illinois lottery for a long time now as far as scrathcers go.

i agree with jimmy

plus all the state lottos, are in the middle of drawing up a even bigger game, not to replace, but to go along side mm and pb,

only reports we had of it suggest 5 bucks per ticket, insane odds we never seen before,

so why would they do a other lotto south if they got even a better seller maybe down the roll,

Should they bring back Lotto South, yes.

Will they bring back Lotto South, no.

Players are shying away from pick-6 games because a) jackpot chasers are playing PB and MM, and b) because odds players are playing and generally prefer pick 3s, 4s, and sometimes, pick 5s. That puts games like Lotto South and those like it in a comparatively small niche, those looking for a sort of middle ground between pick-5s and the mega jackpot games, and in a lot of cases, lottery directors are disinterest... They guarantee a 10yr payout so $52,000 x 10=$520,000 so I say double it...$1,040,000.

I think it is fair since you would only see half after taxes anyway.

I sorta like W4L even though the most i ever won was 30$ ....i mean who couldnt use 104K (Gross) extra a year for the rest of their LIFE......they already have a W4L scratcher which i would love to find one of those last 2 top (life) prizes..... that way i know i would always have income coming in no matter what...... i never got to play lotto south which i think i just turned 19 in 06 at the time or around the time it ended and i wasnt into the lottery like i am now.....

Win For Life replaced Lotto South which ended in 2006. Win For Life is horrible because no cash option and they should save the $1000 a week for life game for scratchers. I think Lotto South should be brought back the 6/49 game with jackpot starting at $2,000,000 just like before.

States like VA, NC, SC, GA, KY, TN could all benefit from this.
