I took two years worth of NY Take5 drawings and did a some analysis . (If it can be called analysis, it was really just counting) The date range of the drawings that I used is from 6/20/08 to 6/20/10.

Because I rarely ever buy a Take5 ticket without at least one single digit number, I decided to exclude a leading zero as a digit. So numbers 1 thru 9 are not included in the work I did. I counted only the two digit whole numbers. (10 thru 39)

Of course zero is an even number. We use a decimal system (base 10), so there are 10 digits (0-9). Half of them are odd and half are even. If you did not consider zero as an even number, then our decimal system would be lopsided

Two excellent questions!

But to be honest, I dont know the answer to either of them!

The stat is new to me too, but I think you need to be very careful with it as a lot depends upon whether or not you are willing to consider a zero an even number, and also if leading zero's should be counted.

For my own purposes, I do consider a zero an even number, and I count leading zeros. (I count 02 as a double even digit number.) But that's me. You may feel differently about counting or... [ More ]

Ok, that is ONE stat (double odd double even) that I have not seen or looked at before - but its a GREAT stat!!

Although since the double ODD has hit so much are the double even due??? or was the double odd just catching up

One other thing I forgot to mention in my previous post ....

Dont ask me why this is the case, I have no idea why it happens, but recently double odd digit numbers have been drawn in Take5 more than double even digit numbers or mixed digit numbers. I try to play at least one number that is a double odd digit number. (A double odd digit number is number where both digits of the number are odd.) In Take5, the double odd digit numbers are: 11,13,15,17,19,31,33,35,37, 39.

Here's a few things I've noticed about Take5... I've played it regularly since last year, but I dont spend a lot of money on it...maybe $10 - $12 per week. I've won a little money ($260 bucks, and over 80 Free Plays)

Always play a single digit number. (1 thru 9) Single digit numbers appear in 75% of all drawings. However, in June, that has not been the case. Single digit numbers went down to approximately 45% in June, but I think they'll be back. That's because the trend of single number's ap... [ More ]

I would suggest you spend time reading all of the posts here on LP. Particularly the Lottery Methods section. Some of the knowledgable members can also suggest legitimate , low cost books you can read.

I use all of this information when I select my numbers.
