i thought about this for YEARS but thought it was too confusing...

That's about the only think you got right. If you can get 5% annually on $100,000, it's $5000 a year and divided by 12 months is $416 not $500. Probably still enough to play the lottery just not enough to play one of you're multi-thousand combination wheels.

Your idea is based on If you obtained: $100,000 so until you come up with a way to legally obtain $100,000, whatever you do with $100,000 is irrelevant.... [ More ]

I'm all for taking out the trash on Nov 2nd...

The only thing is, there is no guarantee that whatever might replace the trash will be any better than the trash that was taken out. It could even be worse..........

You could look into this with your local bank. You will probably find out that Bank A will charge an interest rate that is higher than the interest rate Bank B would pay you. Collateral to cover the loan at Bank B would also be required; like your house, other bank accounts, etc. While an interesting concept, it would be wise to consult with financial planners.

In the U.S. people go to jail for those kind of things pumpi, what you described are variations on what's called check kiting schemes and floating loans.

If you obtained: $100,000 (won the Pick3, well off relative/family member, you have an extra home you are not using, whatever)...

If you place: $100,000 or $120,000 in the bank you will get: $500 every month FREE....That you could use to play lottery...and after 10 years after you have tried everything the $100,000 is returned to you...
