I am in the US but I am not a Filipino. Mayroon akong isang Filipino asawa.

When you are poor it is OK to buy a Lotto ticket once in a while because IT IS POSSIBLE that you could win a nice pile of money. If your 6/40 lotto is structured the same as the lottos here in the states, whatever works here should work for you too. I don't know the payouts there in the RP, but here most states pay back 50% of the gross in winnings. They are what gamblers call a Point Five Game. So, unless you are lucky enough to win a large jackpot at some point, you will eventually, over time, lose half of your money spent buying tickets.
