2010 MLB Post-season

Last night on Sports Center they said that the 2010 Tampa Bay Rays are only the thirs team to get into the post-season having scored over 800 rums for the year (802) with the leading hitter bating .270 or less.

I forget the year, sometimes in the 1970s maybe, the MVP in each major sport. baseball, football, basketball, and hockey, all wore number 32.

It used to be that 41 1/2 was the standard O/U in the NFL, sure doesn't appear to be anymore.

West Coast baseball games seem to be at least 1 run less, too.

Thought we might do a thread on sports numbers, this being a lottery board with a Gaming Forum and all.

Here's a couple for starters:

52.6% - the winning percentage needed to break even in sports betting to overcome the built-in vigorish of betting $11 to win $10.

-5 - A pointspread of -5 in football is considered a sting number. If it's a close game it's often decided by a field goal. So your team wins by 1, 2, or three points but you lose the bet.
